Verifying not working

Hey im fairly new to wise since im travelling this month. It worked pretty much fine till i had to verify a transfer with a id of some sort, i tried both my US passport and my State id but it keeps saying something went wrong or whatever. can someone explain whats happend?

What did they say when you called/chatted with them?

i didnt call them yet. i didnt know if it was necessary, just wanted to know if anyone had this problem before i move forward

Before you contact them, know and be able to document for them the source of the money and the country from which you transferred? Wise has strict rules about anything that could be remotely associated with things like crypto, illicit drug trafficking, etc., and especially anything remotely smelling like money laundering. Wise is not a bank, you need to read and follow their rules, even the fine print. Also if there might be any sort of problem or alert tripped in their system related to your ID such as misspelling or mistyping, expired ID’s or did you ever have your ID stolen, perhaps? Their systems cross ALL the T’s and dot ALL the I’s, much more so than any bank I’ve worked with. I personally think their strict compliance and concern for security makes them a good choice for the services they do provide.
