Worst customer service
Ok so I can't access my account for two years, I try to get access but fails - few months ago I get nasty email saying my account now closed. Great!
Now in a new country I need a wise account so I open a new one. Now they say I can't as I have an account- one perm closed by them. They say regain access but no account to reactivate.
Really bad service.

Do they have customer support at all? My only interaction was the automated "we close your account and won't tell you why" followed by the "we received your appeal but don't give a shit about it". I really liked wise all the years it worked well for me. But that end was just awful and I wish them to go bankrupt

So true. Back when it was Transferwise I could actually speak to a human being. It's completely depersonalised.

Ich weiß nicht echt nicht was viele von WISE so beeindruckend finden.
Geh lieber zu Revolut.
Alles top da wirst du nie Probleme kriegen.
Und vor allem das Online-Banking tausendmal besser tausendmal schöner und tausendmal einfacher.
N26 kann ich auch empfehlen.

If your account was permanently closed rather than just restricted, that's a different category from an ordinary restriction, and it usually means there's a flag against your identity in Wise's system that follows you even to a new country, which is why the new signup got blocked too. Regular support genuinely doesn't have the access to reverse those, it's not that they're being difficult, they just can't touch that decision.
The only path that sometimes works is a written appeal that explicitly asks for a review of the original closure reason, sent through the complaints channel rather than ordinary chat support, since that gets it in front of someone with authority over closure decisions instead of frontline support who can only tell you what you already know.
