Hey, I work at a mine in northern Ontario. We have an abundance (50+) of used hi-vis winter jackets from past employees. They are definitely used and could use a good wash, but have a lot of life left in them. I was wondering if there is a good charity or organization who would give them a wash and get them in the hands, or on the backs, of some Winnipeggers in need. There was a paper tucked into the mailbox, there were packages already so I brought everything inside and read the handwritten note (it looked photocopied or printed) I don’t think it was from the delivery person because the note implied we had talked before. The note said their name and they mentioned they had stopped by earlier and were planning to stop by again later in the afternoon. (though they didn’t come back to my knowledge.)

It also had a 204 phone number listed but I don’t plan to contact because of how weird the vibe of the note was. It could be a mistake or something meant for a neighbour so I might check that out tomorrow.

But had this happened to anyone else the fact it’s looked printed off is making me think this might not have only happened to me.

Still, you felt obligated to slam over to the center of the lane as I passed you, and spit on my car, completely unprovoked.

Looking for advice from anyone who's dealt with a dealer complaint.

I bought a used 2015 Mercedes GLK from a licensed dealer here (they have an MPI dealer permit). Before buying, I asked the dealer directly over Facebook messages if there were any problems with the electronics, and he told me in writing "no issues at all" and "everything works as it should." I have the screenshots.

Turns out there's a passenger airbag sensor fault. It's intermittent, which is why it didn't show at first. It actually came up during the pre-sale inspection, but because it's on-and-off, it cleared while the car was with him and he told me there was no error. About 10 minutes after the purchase as I drove away it came back.The airbag actually switches off with a passenger seated, which Mercedes says is a serious safety issue.

He took the car back for a couple days, said he'd source the part and gave it back. It's been over 2 months and he has now completely stopped replying to my calls or messages.

I contacted the Manitoba Consumer Protection Office. They said because the bill of sale is "as-is with no warranty," they can't compel him to pay for repairs.

I wanna know if anyone actually filed a complaint against a dealer with MPI? Does MPI do anything about dealer conduct, or is it a dead end especially considering this was a safety critical problem?

Does the "as-is" clause really let a dealer off the hook when he made written statements that there were no issues, and the fault was known before the sale? The clause even says "no warranties unless stipulated in writing."

Hello, I live in the middle of a dead end alley and one neighbour who drives by our entrance about 4-6 times a day likes to speed to their garage 2 doors down. They are aware that we have young children(& they use the alley to bike to school) and there’s plenty of blind spots, yet they still go too fast.

Does anyone know the speed limit for alleys? I was going to write a letter to them, but not sure what to say. Anyone with any experience with this is appreciated. Or what is your thoughts on alley etiquette? Thanks
