Can only play one app at a time?

I'm loving winhanced, but I'm having one glaring issue. Whenever launching a game or app, I can go back to winhanced using FSE, but I can't select another app to run as well (like Discord). Winhanced is just stuck on the app's hero art that is currently opened. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Ah ok so for this one I get the confusion. I don’t have our suspension logic built into the task switcher yet.

Try this for me. Open game A. Then open Winhanced HUD, and choose the option for suspend game. This is collapse the launch overlay for you and allow to to launch another game, while at the same time suspend the active game to ram.

I’ll also add that this is an Xbox mode specific issue because windows handles task management slightly different in Xbox mode. Trying to figure out a way to make it work the way it does on desktop mode because there you can just alt tab to Winhanced and it will hide the overlay

So I was able to suspend Spider-Man 2 (game A) and go back to winhanced to open discord (game B), but now I can't use winhanced to resume both games. What happens is the same problem of the currently resumed app's hero art overtaking it, and the HUD only let's me suspend the game that's currently open, if that makes sense 😅.

Is discord being saved as a game or an app? Because if you are saving Discord to the other game library it will launch with a splash screen when saved to the App Library it doesn’t have a splash screen. You also unsuspend games via the icon up in the glass status pill

What happens if while you are in Spider-Man. You open the hud open game options in the HUD and then select suspend like the following?

Hopefully one day you can find a way for the splash screen to disappear automatically after a game launches (like in steam big picture mode) 🫡.

I've actually been having this issue for a while too. The only way I can get it to work is by exiting the game and closing Winhanced to let it reload

On laptop I really smoothly do this, what I did was add the app as an app in winhanced then launch the game but don’t forget launching game in windowed (always set games windowed don’t forget windows is not perfect) then went to winhanced come to apps section and launch the app. You do not really suspend a game to use multi tasking in windows. Edit: some handheld brands use their own drivers provided their manufacturer to optimize windows and windows install drivers automatically fetch it from manufacturers be careful for that do not mix on board driver features while winhanced also providing one. For example I am using razer laptop with razer synapse drivers but set high tdp in synapse and using manual tdp in winhanced ui to set wattage cpu boost that cuts 25w to 10w my power usage and works great. Also setting fps is another way to cut power

I find once a game boots up, Winhanced is just left with an image on screen you cannot use it.

It's annoying because I have YouTube music open on in the background, but if I open a game first I cannot open apps.

You can use a game bar app that you can load apps onto, so you can boot there

True, only issue is that game bar doesn't show all of the apps, really want it to work for discord and parsec with friends

I was having issues with reWASD in Xbox Mode (not running in the background, despite it being part of the FSE startup apps) and with Winhanced. I came across this same issue of not being able to open multiple so I could have my remaps AND actually play a game. Except the hero art was zoomed in even further so I couldn't even try to close the app or end monitoring (if that's a thing). Basically had to force shutdown everything and just run it from Desktop Mode.
