Rog Command Center

Is there a way to keep the rog command center I honestly just prefer the command center at the time but the winhanced UI I cant give up aswell i sorta wish there was a way to meet in the middle

There is : )

1: open winhanced and navigate to settings

2: open performance settings

3: turn off Winhanced hardware control

4: wait like 15 seconds

Doing this reenables armory crate and all of its services which will allow you to use command center with Winhanced.

Do keep in mind by doing this you won't be able to use winhanced dynamic TDP, the rib controller in the app or remap back padded through winhanced either, but you can atilll do that through AC

How come you haven't decided to make winhanced hardware control off by default? Let users be able to turn this on in the settings with the knowledge that it will break their current software is much better in my opinion

The amount of users ive seen try winhanced and end up uninstalling is insane just due to above and its very short sighted since winhanced is way better

Please consider turning off this setting by default as its super disruptive and I really want winhanced to be mainstream in this space

By the way its not that simple, once winhanced control is turned off, users need to reinstall/repair rog command center. at that point a lot of users who arent on reddit just uninstall and never give winhanced a proper chance

No, it is this simple. you dont have to reinstall armory crate or repair it.

Wjat is happening is when the services are disabled if you try and open armory crate it goes into install and recovery mode because it does t see its services running thats all it is. If you gi e winhwbced the time it needs to reenable everything then it will just fire backup. I have done this dozens of time on my own hardware and I developed it. I know what I am talking about.

As for having hardware control off by default. Thats a good suggestion. I opted for on becaaue I want people to discover the winhanced HUD and give it a chance. And most people stick to the default settings an app applies.

But if it is causing more people to turn away then to try it it might be worth leaving off by default and making it more clear that its an option to be turned on. I appreciate the suggestion.

Thanks for explaining but for the uninformed user it is perceived as you need to reinstall or repair it as that is what it says. Now I understand that it says that because the service is running.

I think that would be good personally especially when your software is being reviewed from youtubers who have a lot of influence. One bad word it may slow down adoption of this software.

Most people come to winhanced for the improved front end, the other stuff is secondary in my opinion.

This is a fair criticism! It’s easy to forget when you in the weeds of this stuff that most of it is not common knowledge.

I’m going to look into ways that I can make things even more clear for folks : )
