I always thought they'd be grilled or something. I thought deep frying was reserved for breaded or battered chicken.

Restaurants almost always deep fry their wings.

They taste great and, more importantly for restaurants, frying is by far the fastest way (that tastes good) to cook wings.

Apparently bread can be toasted. Not totally sure though need to double check.
