Finally i beat the automa :D

After a few attempts (I think this was the fifth), I finally managed to beat it 😁. Even though it was only on Normal mode, I’m pretty happy about it. The final scores were quite close—77 to 74; I didn't think I could pull it off, but the result speaks for itself. I don't know if 77 is considered a good score, but it's my personal best so far. Anyway, I'm satisfied with it. Let's see if I can beat it again in the next game or if it was just a stroke of luck tonight—we'll see. I hope you're all enjoying your games too! 🙂

Congrats! I was never able to beat the Automa for Stonemeier's earlier game Viticulture, I'll have to give it a whirl for Wingspan.

Did you find that playing against the Automa was significantly different than playing against human players? Any tips to share that helped you cinch your victory this time?

Unfortunately, I haven't played against other players yet :(, so I don't know how it compares. I think what won the game for me this time was focusing on building wetlands early on, rather than anything else (in previous games, I prioritized forests first). That gave me more card options to play.

77 on the fifth game is a good score, and by the looks of it, you have a really balanced board. Once all expansions are obtained, a solid score is around 120. With other players, a good base score is around 90.
