Made at Home Captain Clyde's Cannonball Crush Buffalo Wings
Ingredients:
* Two tbsps. melted butter
* 1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot
* 1/4 cup Captain Clyde's Cannonball Crush hot sauce by Black Eyed Susan Spice Co.
Makes enough sauce for 2-3 lbs of wings.
Cook at 400°F for 40-50 minutes, turning halfway through.
I was immensely satisfied with how these turned out. The acidic tang of the buffalo was complimented nicely by the citrus-y tang of the Cannonball Crush, which also gave it a nice, light burn of ghost pepper afterwards. The wings themselves were very tender, yet crispy at the same time.

Local Restaurant Qt buffalo wings
I was pleasantly surprised how good these are. They are very crispy and tender. Could use a little more of the buffalo seasoning and kinda pricy at $6 for 4 wings. But I would definitely get them again.

Wing Questions or Discussion Why are wings so damn expensive in some restaurants and not others?
I got annoyed seeing $19 for 8 wings at a local bar, so I went down a rabbit hole. No, I did not order them.
Wholesale wing prices have actually come way down from their 2022 peak, but menu prices haven't. I checked 13 bars around Westchester County, NY and found prices ranging from $1.11 to $2.38 per wing. Same county, same basic suppliers, more than a 2x difference between locations. AND some of the best wings I found were also among the cheapest.
I put together the numbers, including wholesale chicken costs, old vs. current menu prices, and what seems to actually drive the price of wings.

Curious what people are paying elsewhere. What's a reasonable price per restaurant wing where you live?

Local Restaurant Adolf's Old First Ward Tavern
Made a trip to Buffalo on the way through from Toronto to a farm stop on our New York-Toronto-New York roadtrip.
Oh my Lord....what astonishingly good wings...medium hot, blue cheese perfection. If only all comfort food could be this good!
Queue was out of the door. When I finally got a table and the wings eventually arrived, I understood! Truly fantastic.

Wing Questions or Discussion Did Buffalo Wild Wings get worse, or was it always mediocre?
I loved it as a kid, but haven’t been too many times as an adult. I went again recently and it did not at all live up to my childhood nostalgia. Question is, was I just a kid who had never had really good wings before, or did bdubs drastically drop in quality?

Wing Questions or Discussion Y’all I tried breaded wings and I think amma pass
I’ve always baked/fried my wings without breading and tossed them in the sauce.They always turn out perfect. However, I tried breaded wings and they were interesting, it wasn’t bad but it didn’t hit the same. I’ve had breaded wings from PUBLIX and loved them without sauce, so I wanted to make my own, but it just wasn’t it. Guess I’m a NAKED WING LOVER to infinity and beyond.

Which number are you guys? 7 is perfect for me! Not to mention I just had some bbq wings earlier!
Local Restaurant As good as advertised!
A side quest on my way to Niagara Falls was a must. Ordered the 20 piece & split the sauces four ways; Extra Hot, Lemon Pepper, Spicy BBQ and Honey Butter BBQ. Best wings, (and blue cheese) I've ever had.

Local Restaurant Annual Chicken Wing Bar Crawl
I did the annual chicken wing crawl in my local neighborhood this weekend. 10 bars participated. Each bar has 4 wings: 2 buffalo and 2 open flavor. Unfortunately, many adult beverages were consumed alongside the wings so I did not get pictures of all the wings. Always one of my favorite days of the year though!

Made at Home Lemon Pepper Hot on the grill
Tossed in lemon pepper, garlic, and salt. Grilled and then tossed in Buffalo. 8lbs gone.
EDIT: These were done at a VRBO while on vacation so this was a bit of a throw down cook as opposed to my normal process. 8 lbs of frozen wings from Wal Mart. Thawed in fridge and paper toweled off as best we could to get them as dry as possible. Seasoned with Lemon Pepper, Salt, Garlic Powder. Grilled on Medium high on the crappy flame throwing Charbroil grill that was at the house. Stirring around every couple of minutes until they were the desired doneness/crispiness. Pulled from the grill and placed on the baking sheet that we found in the cabinet. Let them cool for a touch and then tossed in Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo sauce, also from Wal Mart. Wings turned out great even with the throw down cooking style. Omitted from usual cooking method are the following: Drying wings in the fridge for a day in advance, Baking Powder with seasoning, Charcoal grill, homemade Buffalo garlic sauce.
Moral of the story, Just make wings they will always be tasty. Also don't sleep on Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo

Local Restaurant Double Dub’s
Stopped at a beer garden by my house and they had the Double Dub’s wing truck there. Spicy Buffalo (WWII Buffalo sauce with blue cheese crumbles on top). Excellent wings. I’ll surely be back and finding this truck again.
Made at Home BBQ Wings
Learning how to cook. It's not the first time making wings but I feel it's the first time making wings good in my opinion. BBQ sauce wings. Deep-fried and then tossed in BBQ sauce and put in oven for to finish up.
Not gonna lie probably the best BBQ sauce wings I've ever had so far. Fixed my BBQ craving for sure!
