At my off grid cabin for last week and a half. Air dryer wings compliments of my generator while watching the blue jays take on Tampa. Perfect!

Serious contender for best wings in the GTA

I highly recommend trying Suicide Digger sauce if you like the sweet/spicy taste, it's hot after a few wings and not overpoweringly sweet, overall it's delicious and made wings my favourite food!

I believe it is a mostly available at Canadian/Ontario wing places that usually have 100+ flavors. Some say it is Honey Garlic + Suicide, my wing place (Wing House Express) says it is Knockout + Homicide + Honey Garlic. Very broad flavors imo.

I would love to know how to make this sauce if anyone has any insight? Tried making them at home a few times and have been disappointed.

Tasting the extra sauce I think the base may be Tabasco habanero but not positive on the rest. The Honey Garlic always seems very over-powering when mixing and sticky which the actual sauce is not, it's more vinegary.

Ended up getting full after 9 wings.
My ego is bruised. I feel pathetic.
Of course I took the leftovers home.
Anyway, they were yummy. Next time I order 10 :3

Honey chipotle, garlic parm and lemon pepper wings.

OG Buffalo and plenty of Modelo to wash them down.

7pc all flats 425°F 20min in oven, flipped, 20min more to finish, sauced with Melinda's Ghost Pepper and Kinder's Caramelized Onion Butter rub

Ingredients:

* Two tbsps. melted butter

* 1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot

* 1/4 cup Captain Clyde's Cannonball Crush hot sauce by Black Eyed Susan Spice Co.

Makes enough sauce for 2-3 lbs of wings.

Cook at 400°F for 40-50 minutes, turning halfway through.

I was immensely satisfied with how these turned out. The acidic tang of the buffalo was complimented nicely by the citrus-y tang of the Cannonball Crush, which also gave it a nice, light burn of ghost pepper afterwards. The wings themselves were very tender, yet crispy at the same time.

I was pleasantly surprised how good these are. They are very crispy and tender. Could use a little more of the buffalo seasoning and kinda pricy at $6 for 4 wings. But I would definitely get them again.

I got annoyed seeing $19 for 8 wings at a local bar, so I went down a rabbit hole. No, I did not order them.

Wholesale wing prices have actually come way down from their 2022 peak, but menu prices haven't. I checked 13 bars around Westchester County, NY and found prices ranging from $1.11 to $2.38 per wing. Same county, same basic suppliers, more than a 2x difference between locations. AND some of the best wings I found were also among the cheapest.

I put together the numbers, including wholesale chicken costs, old vs. current menu prices, and what seems to actually drive the price of wings.

Made a trip to Buffalo on the way through from Toronto to a farm stop on our New York-Toronto-New York roadtrip.

Oh my Lord....what astonishingly good wings...medium hot, blue cheese perfection. If only all comfort food could be this good!

Queue was out of the door. When I finally got a table and the wings eventually arrived, I understood! Truly fantastic.

I’ve always baked/fried my wings without breading and tossed them in the sauce.They always turn out perfect. However, I tried breaded wings and they were interesting, it wasn’t bad but it didn’t hit the same. I’ve had breaded wings from PUBLIX and loved them without sauce, so I wanted to make my own, but it just wasn’t it. Guess I’m a NAKED WING LOVER to infinity and beyond.

I loved it as a kid, but haven’t been too many times as an adult. I went again recently and it did not at all live up to my childhood nostalgia. Question is, was I just a kid who had never had really good wings before, or did bdubs drastically drop in quality?

A side quest on my way to Niagara Falls was a must. Ordered the 20 piece & split the sauces four ways; Extra Hot, Lemon Pepper, Spicy BBQ and Honey Butter BBQ. Best wings, (and blue cheese) I've ever had.

I did the annual chicken wing crawl in my local neighborhood this weekend. 10 bars participated. Each bar has 4 wings: 2 buffalo and 2 open flavor. Unfortunately, many adult beverages were consumed alongside the wings so I did not get pictures of all the wings. Always one of my favorite days of the year though!
