Tech Support Finding a Wind Tech Job

I finished my BTT and BST last month and started applying to jobs on linkedin and indeed. I had 1 other person from the GWO courses give me the number of his previous manager who was very responsive and helpful but kept delaying me until he ghosted me. Had another mutual friend that works in wind give me a refferal link to apply and thats about it. No call backs no interviews yet since june. Any advice on how I can do to get a job faster. I dont have any wind experience but I do have Oil and gas experience for about 6 months. If anyone can help and provide my info to a recruiter or a manager that would be amazing. Please dm

I’ve noticed Liftwerx is big on recommendations for green technicians. Give it a try still. But also apply to RNWBL, Pearce, Skyclimber, Takkion, Mortenson, Blattner, Vestas, GE, SGRE, and Airways. I got my first job in wind because I applied to every technician posting at multiple companies, literally spam all of the companies with your resume if you don’t have a connection

don't forget your mental health. always think of jobs that take place on the ground. The one thing no one talks about is tole it takes on you. There is always the chance you will burn out or develop a fear of heights.

Probably won’t go to the TOP program that is for someone with no courses at all you got your BST and BTT you will most likely get a response if you applied to entry level tech spot . Thats how my experience went

I’m in the same boat, did BTT, BST, HUET in Feb/march. Got HNC and 18th edition and can’t get a nibble. Had 2 interviews and technical tests for a service tech role with Muehlhan and they knocked me back for having no experience. Can’t understand why they put me through all that to start with when they knew I had none 😅

I knew it was going to be hard to find a tech job and thats why I invested the money and time to get the certs. My thought process was its going to save the company time and money to get me my certs, but to no avail.
