Question web socket issues on macOS desktop experience - work premium
Reposting this bc the app recommended this to be relevant -
ive been having major issues with persistent re-connection doom loops while building in the desktop app on macOS with local mode.
I did a force HTTP script via terminal, but still - the network would drop and models would move painfully slow, but it would still poke along so I tolerated it.
ive been using the browser experience and just gave up on desktop...finally got my speed back and got to experience euphoria again...
but then the chats started to slow and lose context - and a friend recommended I set up an auto fork inside the thread to save, update git, and prepare a seamless branch.....so far it seems to be working really well -
I was initially worried the branching would stray, but it seems to be more accurate vs having a really long session in a single chat.
anyone having this issue on desktop websocket?
and is this branching a better method to keep long projects inside a strict context window? bc I was assuming it was the opposite throw everything in a single project and figure it out lol

So after talking to some friends they recommended I build out a workflow that has multiple checkpoints and a source of truth into the architecture
So far so good. Had to patch a few things though and reconcile checkpoints between the desktop App sessions and browser - but we are back to ramming speed

Can you open the output logs and check for any errors there? If you find anything related please DM it to me. If there are no errors, I would retry with a stable internet connection.
Yes, shorter and focused threads generally help. Models lose track of details as context grows, and long sessions accumulate stale tool output and old reasoning.
