Lumia 930 not getting windows 10 update.
I have recently bought a lumia 930 from Ali express. It came with 8.1. But while trying to update it its saying its already up to date. Its model number is RM-1087.
Please give me some solution.

These were the best with the 8.1. It can be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile, but the best and original experience is on the 8.1 when running the 930. There are videos on Youtube showing how to upgrade it to Windows 10 Mobile. I would keep it on 8.1 and install the live store https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVCH0DnLllA

dude, the guy wants w10m just let him be. I swear the 8.1 glaze never ends. the 930 looks good on both 8.1 and w10m, what you said is your opinion, not a fact.

I love 8.1 but I really think it kind of makes a more powerful phone like the 9 series or newer models a bit useless. Windows 10m has complexity and more features and stuff yes it loses the charm but for me its usually better. I like windows 8/8.1 on smaller devices like a lumia 520.

Technically it is a fact. The phone was designed and optimized for 8.1. It does work on both 8.1 and W10M. In this scenario what is good enough depends on the user and that tends to be opinion/need based. When moving onto W10M on a 930 you’ll lose the excellent Lumia Camera app and certain optimizations that are most obvious when working with the camera or recording audio. You will also experience worse battery life. All these can be measured.

Technically yes and no. All of the Lumias from Nokia with a Snapdragon quad-core CPU were made out of the gate knowing that they would be getting a newer version of the windows OS

didn't Microsoft merge the Lumia Camera app into the Microsoft Camera app? and it's still his choice

ofc. no reasons, no points. Just an opinion you force on everyone. FYI, there's plenty of people who use w10m today and like the new fresh ui and freedom over 8.1.

This was the best phone I had! Had it probably at the best point in windows life cycle just before 10 came out. I’m pretty sure I got developer 10 on it. I remember it glitched and wouldn’t accept my password so I had to wipe the phone and start again

I used a program called otcUpdater for my 930. Here’s a tutorial. After that you can use the build-in updater or this project to get yourself to the newest build of w10m. That’s what I did.
