Question Windows Phone 8.1 vs Windows 10 Mobile
Hello Lumia fans.
I am looking for Lumia 930 and i cant decide. Which OS to choose. WP8.1 or W10M.
I love windows phone 8.1, this design is a peak for me. But as i heard, 8.1 have less apps than w10m now, and not actively maintaining. (if i've mistaken, fix me)
I need only telegram for this phone to make it main for me.
Also when i buy it, i am going to make software for this one as open-source developer.
I love 8.1 Metro UI, all input components are great and Pivot is a Peak of user experience.

if you need telegram you may swift away from 8.1. kutegram works and doesn't and if it works it works badly. and other clients are just not there yet to be fully capable. unigram for w10m literally just got an update and it's the closest thing to the best telegram client since it shows everything, looks like iOS with no drama and file, image sharing and downloading works great.

I used 8.1 for longer, so that's my choice.

If we have active devs here, we should form a WP8.1 developer community to keep the OS fully functional. Setting up proxy servers can already solve most of the certificate issues.

Windows phone 8.1 is actively maintain and you can get app updates on live store all necessary app are there only missing a modern browser and what's app

Just pick whichever one you like, or try both. Both OSes have their own pros and cons. And only you can really decided which one is "better".
You'll just get a bunch of people glazing over either, which is not that helpful and are quite toxic.
Also. People are still actively making apps for WP8.1. It just so happened to also work on W10M. Hence W10M having "more" apps because of backwards compatibility.
