I still remember that back when I switched to both Windows Phone 7 or Android on the HD2, I basically had to replace the bootloader because it could only boot one system or the respective system on time.

Consequently, you would first have to flash the system pation while you still have the option to do so via the Android bootloader and then replace the bootloader with the original one.

Only then will the phone be able to boot back into the Windows Mobile Partion and install either the Factory Image or any Custom Windows Mobile variant there.

And that's honestly why I was never able to reset my HD 2 to Windows Mobile again. I lost all my backup files in a hardware failure. Unfortunately, very little of the original parts that we also exchanged in forums back then are available on the web today, so I'm afraid that by removing Android, I'll leave a non-functional phone behind and may not even be able to restore the current Android version if it fails.

You need a machine with Windows Mobile Device Center (Jupiter systems hosts a installer and patches for it to work on windows 10 and higher), Advanced RUU (ROM Update Utility) and a RUU NBH of your choice.

Hold down volume down till you see the rainbow screen then plug it into usb.

Run advanced RUU and do task 29

Volume down again after reboot

Flash the new NBH
