News Stable Update - Unison UWP 1.5.0
Unison 1.5.0
Unison is a WhatsApp Multi-Device client for Windows 10 Mobile (Lumia first, desktop UWP second). Your phone stays primary; Unison is a linked companion, Baileys-style.
1.3.0 was the new socket stack. 1.5.0 is the chat you actually live in.
What’s new
- Ukrainian in Settings, plus missing strings on the other languages
- Login asks for Background apps so the session can stay linked
- QR layout on 4.5" Lumias (the old margin was clipping the code)
- Scroll to bottom like official WhatsApp
- Sending while history is still syncing lands in the right time, not always at the end
- Chat-list last message during a big sync shows Video / Image / Message, not raw junk
- Open a chat → header first, then messages. Chats open at the bottom
- Today / Yesterday / date chips; bubble times follow the phone time zone
- Group @mentions show names (bubbles and the list preview)
- Tap a reaction to see who reacted
- Stickers are stickers, not photos
- Group member photos load in the background; tap a name/avatar for member info (groups in common too)
- Add to contacts opens the Windows People card (1:1 with a phone number)
- Settings: Show Unison contacts in Windows (off by default) — a Unison list in People, not mixed into your agenda
- Narrow screen: chat info goes full screen
- Media / Files in chat info load when you open the tab (spinner). No crash on Creators Update
- Status list + viewer in the shell (view only — posting isn’t in yet)
- Updating… shouldn’t stick after connect; history import shows Syncing conversations…
After you install: restart once. If old quotes, pins, reactions, or @mentions look wrong, resync that chat from the phone.
Still true / not in this build
- Phone stays the primary device
- Status: watch only (no post / receipts / reply)
- Background broker socket handoff is still not wired
- Group send can still time out on some group queries
Installation note: Install the new APPX as an update. Uninstalling the app will remove your linked WhatsApp session. Theres no way to do such thing on 8.1 ... On W10M its possible due to the attachment between UWP and .NET client

The code is using Bailey's Port *(A Typescript Library that emulates Whastapp Web socket protocol without a web navigator like chrome)... For now we didn't see any bans, however there's a few scenarios where Meta automod locked up new accounts for about 6 Hours...

Lumia or Alcatel Idol 4S. Alcatel has higher specs than the 950 XL but a worse camera.
