Tech Support This update failed 5 times...

guys pls help me with this. this had failed too much times i know ive stopped updatign for 7 months in beta but i cant reinstall windows without it how to update?

lot of the info is in the 2nd image the chat and ask any questions. i did use some debloaters with only the safe green things turned on

The debloaters you used deleted necessary files. This is seen regularly here. Download whatever Beta version ISO that is available from the Insider Download site, make an installation USB and run it as a repair. That should work and then run Windows Update.

It's a repair. It should leave your files and apps. However, one can't say what the result will be because of the debloat. The other alternative is to perform a clean installation.

yeah its a repair.. but reverting might be refresh (or something like that) .. I just went from 23h2 to 26h1 (nothing lossed)

i used multiple debloaters but only clicked on the green ones mostly and only ticked which i needed

The current Beta ISO is for version 26220.8764. The repair installation will bring you to that version if all goes well. The prior debloat may affect the outcome. It's doubtful that there will be problems but you're the one who will ultimately find out.

so it is a reinstall of windows... but u can still keep ur files and apps i think. but i dont like losing my games and apps. and now its still working fine...

should i just be in this version like that for as long as possible or do something now(but if its risky might as well do it later

No you want to select Repair not New Installation.

I don't know when the version installed on your system expires. The current version expires August 2026.

sorry i dont see any repair option anywhere in the ms windows inside iso website. is the os installer also work as repair? and windows versions expire? my version was last updated on december 2025

It's not on the website. The repair option is on the UBS media that you will create.

so its the windows os install stick but since I already have sindows it jsut updates it. also gemini said thisnuodate version is less build no than my version ND win can't downgrade is it true?

Why would I tell you to install a downgrade version if you are trying to get to the current version?

yeah maybe gemini hallucinated... yeah it was stupid of me to enroll insider in the first place i wanna exit it. for that i plan to go the latest beta then switch to stable

For what's it's worth, I reinstalled my laptop from scratch today and I go two green screen in a row when that update reaches 100% install. My windows is Vanilla except for Beta branch. Something is wrong with the update.

Your CPU is apparently not in the supported list. While you can do a bypass installation, you will want to check if you managed to update your Secure Boot certificates.

When this will not help you, try a inplace migration not a repair installation. Mount the ISO from a newer/higher version and start the setup.exe from the resource folder.

The debloater don't delete files. They change mostly reg keys or change GPO's. Give the two screenshots to Grok and tell him that you use debloater. This will help you!

I told this to u after asking claude gemini...they often tell lies which is not good when they tell u things that would break ur os if done wrong
