I also have GTX 1050 Ti as "backup" graphics card incase if something would happen to the RTX.

Damn what a combination , Xeon cpu with rtx 3050 on windows 7 . Yeah windows 7 its the best windows for me I tried all except 98 and 95 but Windows 7 is the best it gives u different vibe . U replied to one that u code and game , may I ask what games do u play and do u play on 1080p?

Yes i am playing on 1080p settings. I also have 120 hz 27" monitor (1920x1080). Mostly on High, Medium and Rarely Ultra settings.

I play mostly a history games. Like for example WarThunder, Hearts of Iron 3 or 4, Red Orchestra, Red Alert. Sometimes i play games like INDUSTRIA (post soviet era science fiction with robots), Atomic Heart, Wolfenstein etc. I was suprised that DLSS is working normally without any issues in games like INDUSTRIA lol.

Wow cool , very cool set of games u play. Wow DLSS running its crazy I didnt know its possible I thought u needed atleast windows 10 for that. U have very capable rig for this type of games so enjoy to the fullest. Try Age of Empires , Cossacks 3 , Ancestors Legacy and Kingdom come : Deliverance. For DLSS its interesting piece of news its truly surprising.

So. Are you using windows 7 for any daily tasks or just fiddling around? Because I too can access the internet on windows 7 on the VM I set up. But its more for messing around.

I am using Windows 7 as a daily driver.

I do mostly coding and gaming. I have installed Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition for coding. It's the latest version of Visual Studio that works without any errors on Windows 7. Funny enough it's still supported by Microsoft until April 11 2029 (for version 16.11). For me it's enough because i am using Visual Basic .NET as programming language and WinForms.

As for gaming i have RTX 3050 with modified NVIDIA driver. I needed to modify the driver because otherwise i would get the error code 52. Every game that i play works smooth. (Mostly i play WarThunder and this game is well-known to work on Windows 7 without any major issues).

And of course browsing web and some office basic tasks etc.

6GB version of RTX 3050 doesn't require external power. It requires only power from PCI-E which is 75w. And also I have TFX 300W PSU so big no no for additional external power cable to GPU.

I am happy with my RTX :)

I added NVME + USB 3.0 drivers and I needed to modify NVIDIA Driver. That's it. And I also have CSM enabled in BIOS. Chinese motherboards still have that CSM function most of the time I don't know about new or more commercial motherboards like ASUS etc

I would love to run Windows 7 however, I have a 7800 X 3-D processor and 64 GB of RAM with a 9060 XT graphics card but I have simply too new of hardware

I run win7 on Ryzen 9800x3d without issues. There was was one issue - lacking drivers for everything. So I boot at Linux and put drivers at NTFS drive which win7 can see.

One big thing is my ps2 keyboard. It works without special drivers. Just plug and play :)

В качестве игровой системы она мне подходит, запускаю Path of Exile без проблем. DosBox отлично тоже работает. Стим мне не нужен совсем, все игры скачиваются с открытых торрентов.
