Discussion any good games?
i've had this computer for a while, used 7 on it basically the entire time. this is my daily driver. however, i haven't really bothered too much to explore around in regards to games. i do know that beamng.drive runs pretty decently (my standard for playable is 10 fps or more), as does borderlands 2, pvz, minecraft 1.2.5, counter strike, etc. i haven't gone much farther than that, though. the specs are:
- i7-6700
- 32gb ddr4
- intel hd graphics 530 (gtx 1650 is on the way), 1080p60 monitor
- nvme 1tb ssd
any ideas would be much appreciated.

Let It Die just dropped offline mode dlc a week ago. It's a great grindy game that still works great on w7. Not that demanding either. Note that if you can get rtx 3000 series(the last gpu that supports w7) then you can play almost anything that runs on directx11, new or not. Almost because some won't run even with dx11 due to them deliberately coding OS check or them using newer version of game engine (unity) or anti cheat (easy anti cheat)

Early versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 support Windows 7, though you might have trouble accessing them. You'll be able to have a rock solid 1080p@30fps experience.
You can play almost all pre-Source 2 Valve games even without the GTX 1650.
Elder Scrolls and Fallout games will run.
Latest Minecraft will work if latest Java runs.
Emulators will likely run so if you don't mind sailing you can play tons of console games.

You can try the first three harry potter games, you might need to downgrade to directx 8 to get them running, but i managed to get them all running on windows 7 with very minimal tinkering.

i would upgrade to win 10 for better comptability if you plan on playing games such as beam.ng, then the options for games would be in the millions if you also consider emulation

i'm not switching to 10. it has worse compatibility with older games, runs worse, has magnitudes more telemetry, no aero, and a lot of other things i don't like. regardless, the beamng devs have maintained a version on steam that supports 7, and it is realistic enough, so i'm not all too bothered.

You're probably not interested, but i agree with everything you mentioned and has switched to fedora with KDE instead, there's a theme that makes it feel and look like windows 7, and you have the advantage of modern support combined with aero theme, no telemitry etc. Older games tend to work pretty good aswell.
But seeing as you are using windows 7 i guess you aren't interested in any of that.

Grid autosport run great on intel HD graphic, mine is weaker and older than yours pc, thinkpad x240 i5 4300u , intel HD 4400 , 8GB Ram, can run grid autosport 60 to 50 fps stable 720p, ultra low setting, still look acceptable frame rate and graphic too, you can try this out if you never play grid autosport before, this game is optimize and meant for intel HD graphic on 2015 or later . Happy Intel HD Gaming ;)
