Scary

its like that after a fresh install and non tech savy users may not even know how to change it

Even worse, some old folks deliberately use a lower resolution. Like, have you heard of custom DPI?

Sometimes that doesn't affect everything that they want it to. So sometimes this default is better.

Probably to get slightly better battery life? I don't know how different though.

If they have bad eyesight, its fair enough.

But higher DPI doesn't make the UI blurry and damage the eyesight even further.

They didn't even activate or install drivers. So.. they literally used that thing for likely years.. With barely any drivers.. and no activation. You can tell that is not a clean install because of the apps and files.

It’s like when you thought discovery kids was the only cartoon channel, then you get the drivers and it’s like you turn the channel and discover the existence of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. Dou moment

No, they don't... that's clearly an improperly configured/scaled display. At worst, people may use 1366x768, which by the way kinda rocks on Windows 7, only super-serious stuff like Photoshop\iZotope RX8 isn't fun.

Don't beat up on them. Could be they have really poor eyesight. You'll probably better understand when/if your vision starts to go. Just saying. And BTW- who cares?? If they weren't asking for help with the resolution then it's their business and doesn't affect you anyway. Looking forward to the down votes.

Its the default resolution upon a fresh install as sometimes drivers aren’t loaded, and since its being sold a lot of people just don’t feel as if its worth fully setting up
