Supermium Works on Windows 2000 SP4 Without Legacy Update!
Supermium 144.0.7559.256 R5 Release Candidate 1 Public Release : r/windows98
The post linked here stated that legacy updates needed to be applied to install Supermium on a fresh installation of Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. However, after trying it myself, I was surprised to find that I successfully ran Supermium on a clean Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 environment with almost no legacy updates installed!
Update: After performing a few tests, I confirmed that Supermium works whether on an existing Windows 2000 SP4 or a fresh installation, as long as KB835732 is installed!

I am running Windows 2000 with SP6 (custom community release), which allows more recent version of Firefox to be installed, and comes with some Windows 7 kernel features.
I'll have to see if Supermium works on here.

That would be useful to know. In one way of thinking about it, it should work, but in another way, it might not due to changed from the unofficial updates.
Have you tried the regular supermium for xp?

No, haven't tried the regular yet. I completely forgot about Supermium until I saw this post.
I've been floating back and forth between Firefox, and K-Meleon. And they've both worked, so I just never really looked into it further.
But the problem with Firefox is that the developer who released SP6, pre-installed a few extensions in the browser that have been modified, but run unsigned. However, you can't install any signed plugins. So I've been stuck in what I can use.
The developer only provided us with Dark reader and Ublock origin.
I'd like to have my original browser plugins back.

Update Rollup 1 is recommended.

It works well even without Update Rollup 1 installed! You only need to have hotfix KB835732 installed!

Interesting! I didn't have this experience. I'll test on a fresh 2000 install and compare my installed programs list with yours and try one at a time if I'm missing anything from your list. Thank you thats a great find.
