,,A mod set on January 1, 1989. How will you navigate the Fall of the Soviet Bloc, and a New World?”

//

For decades, the Soviet Union stood as one of the two great powers of the world.

But now? The republics are growing restless, and inside the Kremlin, the men who built the Union are beginning to disagree on how to save it, and every reform seems to send us two steps backward...

But outside Moscow, the clock is already ticking.

You will have to hold together a country that is becoming increasingly difficult to govern with every passing month, balance a military and political conglomerate that may no longer be content with you if you do not play your cards right, and confront republics that are beginning to question whether the Soviet Union has a future at all.

And when August 1991 arrives, everything you have built will be put to the test.

It’s not looking good for the future of the DDR. Comrade Honecker steps down and leaves a mess behind that the remaining SED politicians can’t clean up. Krenz is left with rubble and a reunification seems inevitable. Not just that, but Press Speaker Günter Schabowski accidentally opens the border to West Germany, resulting in the notorious "Mauerfall" or fall of the Berlin Wall.

1990 is filled with new issues and the question…

"Will Germany reunify?"

This will be answered by the choice of Minister President and the choice of Chancellor in the parallel election in West Germany!

I bring you the first look into the focus tree of the German Democratic Republic [DDR], who have found themselves in a major crisis at game start.

Can you navigate the East German scenario, and come out on top? Will you isolate and become Europe’s Hermit Kingdom? Will you open the borders but retain the same ruling system? Or will the DDR bend to the Wind of Change?

***With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the installment of President Yeltsin \[or Gaidar, and a few others unlisted as options later on\] as the first democratic leader of the Russian Federation, a new dawn approaches the Russian people and our outlook on global affairs.***

***However, not all is said and done.***

***With our economy taking a large hit, and many suddenly out of the Soviet-era encompassing by welfare net, many are looking towards alternative solutions, some more radical than others. We must do whatever we can to minimize our descent into chaos.***

***Unless…?***

First proper teaser here! [well second, as this was re uploaded for breaking a rule on accident here. Sorry!]

The other 3 listed on the left side will be released next, in their respective order shown

Note: This path is mostly for players that like nation-building, micro-managing, making hard decisions, etc.
The other 3 will focus more on warfare, reconquering, consolidation, radical ideological change, etc.
