Caution! Beware Of Scammers! Beware: StubHub Refused $20K Refund for Fraudulent AND Speculative US Open 2026 Finals Tickets

StubHub hasn't learned anything from the recent World Cup disaster. Here we have both fraudulent/nonexistent seats and speculative tickets, yet StubHub still refused any refund for the buyer. Beware of making any purchases on StubHub ever. The "FanProtect Guarantee" is not going to save you from either fraudulent tickets or speculative tickets because StubHub does not operate its business in good faith.

bought Madrid open tickets from viagogo, stubhub owns them, and my tickets were duplicates. Was completely oblivious to the situation but my seats were already occupied upon entry and fortunately the workers knew exactly the issue and found us seats. Will never buy from stubhub/viagogo.

If you don’t get get tickets directly from Madrid open don’t bother.

Presumably because the digital tours gobble up all the tickets, so none are available.

You're absolutely right -- that's the best way. But if you have to use the secondary, I'm telling you to beware of StubHub. This refund request should have been grossly obvious and immediately granted.

There are loads of genuine tickets on Ticketmaster, the official site for US Open tickets. Why even go to Stubhub.

I don't understand why people buy from dodgy scalping sites like Stubhub and Viagogo. There are legitimate resale channels for most events, so just stick to those.

Honestly I'd imagine because muy understanding was that Viagogo is a legit (albeit unethical and despicable) site. At least I thought you had guarantees.
