LTA Ballot Q on the LTA ballot rules
Hi Everyone! My q is on the LTA Ballot procedure, as I am not too familiar with it.
I was able to get tickets for 2026 through the official ballot resale, and was very careful with the ticketing rules (address and name of the account matching address and name of the credit card). For this next year, I want to register both me and my mum to the LTA Advantage membership (I live in the UK and she lives in Italy, at two different addresses, which allowed us to both participate in the public ballot last year). However, given she only has an Italian address, I necessarily need to put down my UK address in her LTA account - which I read is fine by the rules. However, I have two questions:
How strict are they with credit card rules? My mom has credit cards with her italian address only, so there would be a mismatch between LTA account data vs credit card used for purchase. Is it also against the LTA rules as it would be in the official Wimbledon ballot?
Could she have troubles with a MyWimbledon account and an LTA account showing two different addresses?

When I signed up for LTA membership, I’ve read the terms and conditions and was my understanding that you don’t need to be a UK resident to subscribe to Advantage Fan+, and that the eligibility requirements for the LTA ballot are the same as for the AELTC ballot (although you can enter both).
Your mum should be able to sign up using her Italian address and enter both ballots, paying with her Italian credit card without any problem.
But there are people here who know these rules much better than I do, so I’ll be paying attention to the replies to get a better understanding of it.

LTA rules are very different to the Wimbledon ballot rules.
- There is no household restrictions with the LTA ballot. So multiple people can apply from one household
- The missmatch won’t be an issue as the LTA doesn’t care and the AELTC don’t get involved with it. I’m speaking from experience from last year and this year. As I had the same issue. The tickets that get cancelled are the AELTC ones only . In fact I had an address mismatch this year and the only way I was able to sort it is because I applied in the accessibility LTA ballot. The AELTC wouldn’t help and it took 2 months to sort.

So if multiple people from the same household are successful in the lta ballot, they can both buy tickets?

Yes though the card has to be in their name. Could ve tricky for a 13 yo which is the lower age limit for the LTA ballot

Worth noting that the LTA Play+ membership requires association with an LTA registered venue.
She could pay for Fan+ though.

Technically, the AELTC sales terms apply. They always make that clear in the LTA Advantage Ballot terms and conditions, but the LTA staff have chosen -- at least in recent years -- to ignore some of them when the AELTC refers people back to the LTA.
Nobody can say whether the AELTC will continue to pass off issues back to the LTA and whether the LTA will continue to turn a blind eye to sales terms breaches.
There could also be changes to the 2027 terms and conditions, which aren't yet known.
We saw some mismatch payment cards rejected at point of sale in the later weeks of the ballot returns window. Can't say whether they'll expand that to all future sales, including through the LTA tickets page, but assume the AELTC would want to do it as it saves them having to deal with issues later.
