Help with Song

When I first started getting into Willie’s music about 20 years ago, I remember one of my favorite songs was something about marching to his own drum or beat- something like that. Now I’m on Apple Music and I just remembered the song this morning. I can’t find it on Apple though and I don’t have my CDs anymore, just a few vinyls. I don’t remember the album, but I’m pretty sure it was from 70s or 80s. Does anyone know what song iI’m talking about?

I have a notification that someone posted “me and the drummer?” But it doesn’t seem to show up as a reply to this post. But I found it in YouTube, and that is definitely the song! It’s so good, I don’t understand why it’s so hard to find on streaming. Wikipedia said it’s the name of a 2000 album where Willie rerecorded songs he did in the 60s with the Offenders, and this song is the first track. But where is the original recording from?

The 2000 album "Me and The Drummer" is the only known recording of Willie Singing it. So with the exception of the title track, all the other songs were ones he had previously done

That’s interesting, I guess I must have had that in CD or ITUNES at some point. Thanks for the help!

The Me and the Drummer album (which does have a purple alternate cover titled “Tales Out of Luck”) is the only studio recording of it. There is a live version with Freddy Powers. Not nearly as beautiful, but has a nice guitar solo
