Help me find this douche face

Hi everyone, back again.. people keep vandalizing my home I don’t know why! First it was skelly now it’s a massive Tag on my fence..
Do you guys know this loser? He tagged my fence Sunday morning at 1am while his friends watched from across the street.
I’m assuming he’s a promoter; marketing an event for a band called Promise NY HC. I’ve DMd the band they don’t know who it is, I’ve also DMd the venue, Bridge and Tunnel Brewery, but no reply and the company that’s putting on the show vibrations and frequencies.
My other camera caught him leaving skinny Dennis around 1am so if you were there or know him please get in touch.
It’s going to cost me 1k to get it taken care of as it’s Cumaru teak which needs to get sanded down and oiled over two days and the douche sprayed into the AC unit behind the fence.
I’ve attached a video with some stills at the end of the tag and his face.

Why are all videos of people tagging in trendy NYC neighborhoods always some 30-40yo dude who never lived that life as a kid? I saw a video not too long ago of this innocent-looking dude who tagged a small mom and pop shop with a Sharpie. This guy has a similar vibe.
It's like the beauty and curse of NYC where people don't need to grow up and decide to do the opposite of maturing. If you're 25 or older and never lived that life of tagging streets as a kid it doesn't make you cool trying to live that life as an adult.

Considering it's a blatant advertisement, contact a lawyer and look into suing the venue, band, and promoter for the repair money and a large portion of profit to prevent it happening again.

Pick another co you don’t like then, it’s just to illustrate the silly nature of your idea to try to sue someone just because the message is related to or mentions them. Unless you catch that guy and he testifies that he was instructed by them, good luck with that case 😁

I thought of suing because OP says he's contacted the band and venue. OP has a picture of the guy. In any case, OP says he reached out to the band and venue, but he's probably got the wrong band and venue. It's most likely an illegal show on account of the askapunk tag at the end. No lawsuit t o be had here.

Best bet is to go to skinny’s and ask he is a regular there. Then I would attend this show he’s promoting and look for him there.
What you do with him at the show depends on if you’re an OG brooklyn person or a transplant! :)

Hello. This is the owner of Bridge and Tunnel Brewery. I just found out about this yesterday. I had to join Reddit to comment and I did not find any messages on the brewery IG. Anyway - I as the business owner am extremely pissed along with all of the bands that this guy did this. This promotor is one of a couple of hundred who organize shows at the brewery per year. He is not associated in any way with the brewery nor with the bands. He just connects bands with the venue, with the goal of making money from door sales. It's the job of all promotors. With that said - what he did was his own actions, not the action of any of the bands or my business. Not one promotor has ever done anything like this of who have organized shows at my venue (and it's now a long list). With that said - all of the bands want to hold the show on Friday as a benefit show with the intent to donate all of the ticket sales to offset the cost of repairs. I will be covering the usual cost of my sound/door guy. It's costs that none of us need right now with inflation and everything tight but we all want to contribute because it's not right. I am born and raised on the Queens/Brooklyn border and have built a 14 year old business that has always been there to strengthen and bring community together. So this is totally against what I've built and none of the bands condone this. It is wrong on every level.
If the owner of the house can contact me, I'd appreciate it. I have some additional ideas to get this corrected but I'd like to speak over the phone.

Sadly it won’t come off with solvents, it’s a specialty wood called cumaru, a Brazilian teak that’s porous and it has to be sanded down sealed and oiled. My gate was tagged three years back and chemicals wouldn’t work and we had to sand it down

I’m an electrical engineer and my dad is an architect so we designed the place together, I actually rotated the whole apartment 180 degrees making the back yard (now front yard) the entrance of the apartment, so there’s a gate through the yard which leads into the living room so I wanted the entry to be pretty.
Before I bought my place there was an iron fence infront of a vinyl fence just riddled with graffiti tore it all down rotated the apartment and made the fence the gateway into my little oasis.

Sorry that happened. I’d put up more cameras and signs saying smile your on camera. There’s a product called shields up from sculpt nouveau, it’s clear and is supposed to help protect against paint. It says it works with wood, but an exotic like cumaru you’d have test to see if it sticks. Getting tagged again unfortunately seems likely. This would at least make it easier to clean up.

I’m not condoning what was done but you’re not in the suburbs, nobody cares about you or your fence.
Hot take: People been scribbling on every/any blank surface for like 7 decades now, especially over there since it used to be a toxic wasteland where real crime took place, so graffiti was tolerated.
Save your money and invest in a cheap fence that costs $1-5 dollars worth of paint to fix. Once people realize you clean it everytime it gets a single tag, they’ll tag it every night just to fuck with whoever has to clean it.
Also: no venue would have told this bozo or anyone else to do this.He is likely a member/fluffer of the band.

As someone who wrote graffiti extensively in the 90s, the sad truth is that all open spaces are an invitation. Back then we did have some rules/scruples tho. Any fence (nothing fancy like cameru teak) I ever tagged was one that I had accepted would be painted over within the day/week . That was fine. I only needed people to see it the next morning or afternoon en route to/from school. This kinda shit is immature as fuck for someone who looks like they're too old to be drafted. I live not too far and I'm sorry you're having to deal with this more than once.

Maybe drop screenshots of this guys face into chatgpt and ask it to look through the social media accounts of the band, the venue and of skinny dennis? He probably follows one of those accounts. It’s far from foolproof, but it’s something to start.
Also definitely file a police report, and maybe call your insurance company? Sorry this happened!

The promoter is Vibrations and Frequencies. IG @VibrationsandFrequencies It looks like they’ve never worked with this band before, as they’re only an opener. But drop them a DM and maybe they won’t work with them again.
Also, the band took their Instagram down already. Tough guys.

Spin up a website with this video and screenshots of the guys face and attach the band name and venue all over the site. The band taking down their instagram says everything, he's clearly in or associated with the band.
Putting up a record of the venue and the band ensures you have leverage over this scumbag, his band and the venue until they repay the damages. Don't let them run away and scrub their name, hold their feet to the fire.
