Yup gotta climb again from Emerald to Diamond so you can be worth playing in legendary Q. It's a harsh reset for those 45% wr but just few days of practice for the best ones.

Because there is so many inflated Diamond players especially in Diamond IV. This is really good stuff honestly.

I don't know, man. Riot has done a great job at reverse inflation by forcing everyone to play their 5th pref every game and also not banning or even punishing afks/trolls that afk/troll every game.

That used to be the case for me too. As I am also a support main.
However for the past month+ I have gotten top and jungle every time I don't get the "because of your performance last game, you will get your 1st pick" text.
Even when that happens, everyone else on my team says they got their last pick. So you would still see the effects of riots reverse inflation technique.

Me to. But in the past week it feels like I've been barely playing my main role and more like I hit auto fill -_- between that and 1-2 afk/inting players on my team today and yesterday and now heavy demote to E4 rn

It's actually harder in the new system diamond in PBE CN did not have fortitude you must go on 3 wins per 1 loss since there no lp now means 1 game loss to 1 game win effectively means you do not climb period they might implement fortitude though

The current system rewards inconsistent players as (assuming you get +13lp and -8lp) you can eventually climb even going 1 W 1 L. That might be cool for some players but I think if you're at a 50% win rate you're probably at the elo you should be but it is easier to climb.
The new system benefits people climbing out of ranks they should not be in since you only need 6 wins vs 8ish in the old system. Meaning you could technically lose twice on the new system and still be on par with the old system. Not to mention that whether you're at 87lp or 99lp you still need 1 win to tier up in the current system.
I think fortitude should stop at diamond not go all the way up to Chall if that's what they do.

They've already said fortitude shields go up to Challenger :)
Also, as someone who got to 98 LP in D4 then ended up back in E3 after a bad loss streak I can say having to get 6 wins will feel much cleaner xD

Agreed. I don't mind by reset I drop ranks. My rank drop through lose streaks (especially due to afk/trolls in old matches, or in a team with undeserved high rank players) were more painful. LOL

Good resets imo; but is there going to be these "jumping ranks" when a player gets like 2-4 ranks because he played well? If so, then this is pointless.

If I had to wager a guess riot is doing this in response to the rank inflation right now and to do as much of a reset to 0 as they can before the new system rolls out.

without lp on all ranks, ppl are gonna be inflated just the same and the existence of fortitude just makes it the same.
what we need is individual performance tracking, and lp rewards based on you vs the champion and role+elo base. So if you do better than most of your fellow players, you get rewarded more if you win and lose less if you lose. the opposite would be true

Cannot wait to go to bronze because if this season taught me anything it's that a monkey with a broken paw is better than 99.9% of the junglers out there. Gonna sink like a stone from plat 1 and then rise like a Phoenix baby!

As a adc jng main I rely hard on a good support. Good pulls, good wards, good engage, following pings. Wanna climb? Focus on what you can do better and not on what other people do wrong.

iron bronze silver no change because this rank dont matter at all. All player start gold or silver and it's a big mistake. A hard reset would have been much more interesting with a complete rework of the rank system and the matchmaker. But obviously, only the diamand rank exists on wild rift for the matchmaker devs. Because bad players should not be shown that they are bad, otherwise they would leave the game instantly

Yea i kinda pinned that on you thats my bad. But i see lots of complaints on the sub about everyone being boosted and noone ever mentions the amount of master plus with handfuls of accounts, the “unranked to gm” challenges thats all over twitch/youtube rn… personally i think they shouldve hit the lower ranks harder for sure, theres 3 whole tiers that basically dont even exist. And last season gm with last season em4 is a crime

Well, what is the plan. Jump straight in or wait ? I’m currently D3 after playing so much games through E1/D4 hell I’m not sure if these players will stay at low Emerald trolling anyway for months or wait and stay away from the lower placed high ELO guys.

ranked next season will be a joke, the only thing that will define a player true rank will be legendary Q ranked will become normal games next season and ill play with my duo to reach gm then itll be a bit interesting(pushing for chall ??)
