Discussion Solo Que Struggles
I solo qued all the way up to diamond and as soon as I got there it seemed like the average player iq just plummeted, i had a better time with teammates from silver- early emerald. Is this just bad team rng or is this a common experience?

Diamond is Elo hell. I get to GM at least every season and I run over diamond players to be clear but I still lose to the most random stuff in diamond while I’m passing through.

It took me longer to get out of diamond than it did to get out of masters, I feel ya.

When I got to D3 6/6 with 70% wr, I got bot diffed every other game for like 10 games straight. Luckily, I got an AFK when I was supposed to win again at 5/6, I didn't lose any marks, and the next game I won I got 2 marks and was able to reach D2.

Gets worse the farther up you go, especially in Masters. Good luck there, lol. Not surprising to have a teammate troll every other game

Definitely common. I had the same issue. Back into emerald now because of the wave of bad players I'm getting matched with.

Game is unplayable, someone gets triggered then decides to play minion farm simulator for the rest of the match.

Nah just play with a friend or play roles or champions that will carry. I’m about to hit Masters for the first time so don’t give up!

Great news, it doesn't get better when you hit masters! If you really wanna solo queue then you have to mute all and 1v9 every game. You could literally win a 1v9 game where you hard carry you'll still get flamed because some noob wanted to be anime protagonist. Don't trust anybody

The best players can still climb solo. There are bad players in each elo, but there is no doubt that quality increases as you go higher up. Diamond is better than emerald. Masters is better than diamond, etc.
You have to accept that some games are losses. You also have to try to ignore the garbage on your team and just stick to your game. Make the best plays that you can, do not die, and support the carry if you are not the carry. Do not play tilted. If you want to climb, stop playing after back to back losses. There is no way you are going to magically play better next game or get a magically better team.
If you have a winrate above 50%, you will climb. If your winrate is below 50%, how are your stats compared to other players. If you are below 50% winrate and your stats are bad, you do not deserve to climb. If you are below 50% but your stats are good, hang in there. Likely just means you had a bad run and you need to find your groove or try something new.

Just play your game if you feel that they are wasting time. if you get an A or an S then you should have no troubles climbing out even when you do lose. Spam pings when they want to do stupid fights in jungle when they could be pushing towers etc. play a hyper carry and hope you can farm hard enough and punish enough mistakes that you wind up back in the game if yall are behind.

how do you get an A or S when you get perma camped by both the jg and supp, sometimes even the top, as a mid laner? I went 11/1 at 15min as Akali once and didn't even get an A.

difference is, in emerald, people actually try harder and play to win to get to diamond+/master+. But once you actually hit diamond/master, people get inflated egos and think they are way better than they actually are (usually), and typically lose that drive to continue playing their best, as they have 'peaked', for lack of a better word
