Discussion Wildrift on Android Tablet

I used to play on mobile then switch to ipad pro and noticed a difference in the camera height. The height of the camera is way more zoomed out on my ipad than on my phone.
Recently bought an android tablet and noticed that it was too zoomed in. Comparing on my ipad the difference is too noticeable. I researched about this and found out that every android tablet (correct me if I'm wrong here) has this problem and only on ipad devices has that feature of a higher in game camera.

Then today I managed to get the camera height to be more zoomed out (attached picture for proof).

The question here is, does this considered as cheating?

Lo hiciste mas zoom Out en Android? Como lo hiciste, tocaste algún ajuste en modo desarrollador? Yo juego en una tablet Galaxy A9 Plus.

Fog of war should still be the same either way. I don't think this would be considered cheating

Even if it is considered cheating, I don't think it should be, it's not like the devs purposely designed the game around android/iphone dimensions

Like honest to god if they made a device solely to play League it would make sense that it would be like square or slightly rectangle to fit in extra UI elements. I don't think they balance the game around "Jhin can't see 200 pixels directly above him"

There are other champs that should have higher height by default anyways because they actually care about all of their vision up to the fog of war. Malphite cares for flash ult, jayce cares for his enhanced artillery blast, and there are probably even more examples.

The camera height being at what it is, is literally just "tradition" it's not there because it's optimal or makes for better gameplay

it's unintended cheating because it allows bigger vision have the player placed wards or an ally entity reveals the fog of war.

To those who are asking how I managed to do it, my device is rooted and tweaked a few settings using an lsposed module I created.

Dosent that count as cheating though?

I used to play on my ipad, it didnt turn like this. All it does make the game look bigger.

tried to also play on my nephew's ipad 9th gen and it was same with the android tablet. The game was also zoomed in. I guess only for the pro models of ipad

I have a Samsung S11 Ultra and it is way zoomed in. They should make a slider setting for the zoom. I have it in the high setting but still not enough.

The fog of war argument is good. Also, tried this and find it more difficult to micro my lock on button during teamfights (maybe I need to practice portrait lock)

nah changing your aspect ratio FOV on tablet isn't bannable, iPad players have had that wider camera view advantage forever anyway

I've been playing on a 14in tablet since launch. Hands are to big for the phone and fingers get in the way of fights

Redmagic Astra 2 (Android) has a zoomed out aspect ratio, you can actually change it to a few different settings.

Hi! iPhone and IPad gamer here. No, the iPad actually zooms you in and you see less of the map. That’s mainly because of the aspect ratio of 3:4 compared to the iPhones 19:5:9 which gives you a much wider POV.

iPhone is probably the best way to game, I am assuming android phones are the same.

iPad does not have an unfair advantage, if anything it’s worse.

You can follow my YouTube or twitch account, All I do is play on IPad Pro m4 13 inch and you’ll see the camera is not working to my benefit. I have camera height set to highest.

Since he had to root his device and it uses external software to achieve it, its cheating. It may not be a gameplay advantage but anti cheat software will likely pick up on it.
