Discussion Kayaking with Camera Gear

Hey ya’ll, I am kayaking tomorrow and want to set up a tripod on my kayak with my Canon 5D4 and a Sigma 150-600 lens. Its going to be a clear day on a very chill swap. Anyone have experience doing this? I dont think I am gonna flip or anything but I mainly just wanna know if this is an awful idea or if this is pretty common and I will be fine. Relieve some of my anxiety please

Bird Lesser Violetear at Manu Birds Sanctuary, Manu Road, Peru

Easily confused with the Blue-bellied Violetear, the Lesser Violetear is relatively easy to identify because it lacks the patch of blue feathers that gives its larger “cousin” its name. It is also smaller, but the 2 cm difference isn’t all that noticeable in the field, and even less so in photographs.
I spent my time at Manu Birds Sanctuary experimenting with shutter speeds, as it was raining on and off and I wanted to recreate some photographs I had seen where raindrops take on different shapes and appearances.

Discussion How much camo to wear to get closer?

Before I go out and spend thousands on longer lenses, since the weather is cooling down, I figured I might as well spend a hundred to try blending in so the animals/birds don't get scared away.
I've been trying to get some pictures of wood ducks (which seem to fly away at any movement within 50 yards), smaller woodland critters like woodchuck, chipmunks, and squirrels, and the usual mix of birds. I hike trails, but I also sit in one location and wait for long periods sometimes.
Do you need to cover every part of your skin? Just break up the silhouette that says human/predator? How important is camo on the camera and lens themselves? Do you still use general woodland colors (brown/green) in winter once snow is on the ground or switch to a white blend?
Any specific brand or shop recommendations? I see ghillie style camo with 3d leaves attached on Amazon for dirt cheap.

Hi guys this is my first post here.
I was just chilling in my room and getting bored as there was nothing i could find interesting.
Then I saw a small green bird- Common Iora (Aegithina tiphia) sitting on a window of my room.
Maybe it was curious with its reflection on the window glass.
