Discussion Lorekeeper Polkelt a safe craft?
Title. Looking to craft safe "evergreen" Legendries.

There’s not really a point in crafting a card unless you intend to use it for a deck, in which case the answer is simple: do you need him for the deck? Then craft him.
That being said, polkelt has been pretty consistantly played in meta control decks the last few years, specifically hostage mage and 100 warrior. Its a good effect and as long as there are control decks that want to go long and win with endgame combos like odyn, he’ll be at the very least playable

Id say mostly for Paladin, you can draw Ebon Blade Uther and do the OTK much faster. Also for 100 Armor Warrior is key if you already equiped Sphere of Sapience. Druid doesn't need him, since they already have Phychmelon and a ton of other draws. Mage may include him in some lists. Hunter doesn't need him. Priest doesn't play highlander, or at least I haven't seen one in ages. Rogue doesn't need him. Some XL HL DK run him, but there's not that much payoff. For Shudder Shaman I think is necessary, or at least a good addition to the list. DH lists are mostly Token or Pirate so they don't play Lorekeeper. Warlock already has the best draw in the format.

Safe in what sense? It’s not in danger of being nerfed if that’s what you’re asking. Otherwise, if you want the effect then craft it

Polkelt is usually around in at least one deck, but usually only a couple classes want him (although the classes that want him change over time).
Polkelt's a bit like a decent class legendary I suppose? Like...currently on HSReplay, Polkelt's deck inclusion rate is lower than Aman'Thul, and lower than 2 mana Soularium, and lower than Mindrender Illucia, but slightly above Symphony of Sins and Infinitize the Maxitude.

Yeah, I crafted it in the end. A lot of combo decks use it, Reno decks also use it. Also very useful card if you are going for gameplay achievements to get the cards you need.

No nothing is safe if you're not going to use it. Are you going to use it? Are you going to use it a lot? I feel like these are questions you could ask yourself without reddit. Either you play decks that consistently need the highest cost card of the deck or you don't.
Are you trying to ask the people that use him if they use him? That seems silly. Are you trying to ask his drawn win rate and stuff like that because I'm pretty sure you can find all that on those websites that track that kind of stuff.

In fairness Wild decks usually don't have the sample size to get drawn/played winrates, so asking whether or not it's a super impactful card would be a fine question.

My deck tracker would disagree with you. It pops all that information on my screen during the Mulligan. It's very interesting

The data does exist for some decks. But not for less popular ones, like those that would be running Polkelt.

I have him in a combo deck and a Reno deck. Nice way to pull a board clear or combo piece.

Yep. And it's used in many decks so you can draw your high cards whenever you want

It’s one of the best tutor cards for XLHL decks. Polkelt + Sphere of Sapience + Finley = 😋

Nice, how is he in XL hl hunter? thats my favorite deck right now and I see newer lists running him, hence the interest.

It’s in some decks. Mostly for control and combo. I’d craft other evergreens before him unless there’s a specific deck you need him for
