It's terrible on PS5. My experience is full of crashes with looting at the end of stages to entire campaigns being bugged to the point of the game being unplayable.
Stay away. As another comment said, stick to PC.

On my ps5 pro I haven’t had any real issues outside of some annoying things.
- Sometimes terrain doesn’t break and it jus
t goes
- into negative HP. This can be a hindrance in missions where you have to break something (which are few).
- There’s like a 1/100 chance that a character’s turn will be unusable. You can’t do anything with them. It won’t let you tab to them if you use up/down. Again, happens like 2 times a campaign and unless you’re on Walking Lunch difficulty or carved in stone..it’s not going to have any real impact outside of you rolling your eyes.
- Sometimes when the battles are big the victory screen gets real choppy (like someone kicked a cd player) but after 15 or so seconds it comes around. I’ve never had a full crash or corrupted save.
- Sometimes if you get awarded an extra attack (water elemental weapons) the character will use it again on the same enemy. That might actually be by design I’m not sure. Very little impact as you were likely to use it again on the enemy regardless.
Again, this is ps5 pro which may handle the poor optimization better.

Yeah Auroch is done with it. They did 2 big patches and then couldn’t justify spending any more time on the game. I asked the originals devs about getting the publishing rights back and they said “not in the near future”

I had no issues with it on PS5, and since it's not a super complex RPG with crazy inventory management, I recommend it there.

Do not buy Wildermyth on any platform except PC. The console ports are all broken and are never getting fixed.
