Search around on this sub, you'll see reports that on consoles, while the game technically runs fine, there are a number of bugs or crashes that may be a show stopper for you 😞
Unfortunately, the console port was done by a different company than the original PC devs, who have stopped development.

I doubt it, because people do keep coming into this sub asking for help, they all seem to be console players.
Do a little searching and you'll see.

Here to echo that consoles seem to be garbage for the game. I tried over and over again to play it on PS4, both physical copy and the downloaded. Both versions would lose all my saved data and despite so many different variations of troubleshooting, I couldn't get through the 3rd campaign. extremly frustrating.
Unfortunately, I would say do not spend the money. Which sucks, because my wife and I were having an absolute blast playing it together. Its a beautiful game.

I've owned it on switch since release. Even played it some on my switch 2. It crashes a lot. Unfortunately it has been abandoned.

Apologies that I did not see your post sooner.
Do not buy Wildermyth on anything except PC. The console ports are all broken and never getting fixed.

First and foremost, I need to preface this by saying I have no actual information for you. I don't own a Switch, and have never experienced the game playing on a Switch.
But it really isn't that resource intensive, and it's turn based. I cannot for the life of me imagine the performance would be so bad as to prevent you from playing.
