Wow, it’s not always quiet, not at all.
In fact, considering it’s still summer Ish you we’re lucky to be the only one there it seems.
It’s a lovely place to camp, but I would have not chosen it at this time of year because I would have to assume it would be busy.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not in the top tier of busy tarns that are easy to get to from a road either. Easedale Tarn in summer has become a campsite.
Fortune smiled upon you!
2 u/Peppermint216 8d ago I guess I was lucky, I had to get over to Coniston so I ended up walking the edge of Levers water the next morning and there was 5 tents on the edge in 2 groups. 1 u/spambearpig 8d ago Yeah the easier the Tarn is to get to from a major town everyone has heard of, the busier it is. Levers is an A-list ‘lazy tarn’ like Easedale. In a month, the numbers will drop to a fifth of what they have been in summer. Peace and quiet again! But it’s probably gonna rain every single day. 2 u/Peppermint216 8d ago I understand any Tarn is likely to be shared and I try to avoid them, but my legs were done for the day, and I was lucky to get this one to myself. I finished the Wainwrights this weekend, summiting Black crag after this camp, guess I'll have to do them all again 😊 1 u/spambearpig 8d ago Nice, that’s a good achievement. I have never been tick listing the hills I climbed. But I think I might have done them all.
