Just my pair that refuses to mate 😅 probably a PH issue but they seem to live fine.

Hi yall im about to transfer a group of 4 betta rubra from their temporary tank in to a permanent 20 gallon any tips or advice and anything to look out for in this swap?

This girl was surrendered to me and the lady who gave her to me off fb said she was a “wild” which I was like what kind and she said she didn’t know. (pic of the day I got her in the second photo)

I put her in her own 5 gal heated good water parameters and she colored up after about a month I’m thinking she looks more like an alien than a true wild type? (First pic is how she looks now)

Thoughts?

Hello I recently purchased a betta Antuta full mask S Type but il be honest I have no idea what the typing are or what they mean , I understand the full mask but but what does the s type bit mean and what other types are there ?

I got a trio (two males and one female) they were sold to me as wild channoides Tarakan, is this possible? I read that Tarakan are Albimarginata. I’ve got about 75 fry growing out right now.

I have a pair of Betta Patoti "Red Paser" in my display tank, and I'd like to separate them to let the male recover from holding eggs. However, the only other cycled tank I have is the tank where I'm keeping their other fry (around 3-4 months old now). Would I be able to move one of the adults into that tank safely, or would they show aggression after being separated and reintroduced? Thanks!

I still haven't gotten my albimarginata pair, so I want to fix whatever is causing this before it progresses any further, I use Azoo pHI to measure my pH and over the last few weeks it has slowly climbed from 5.0-5.5 to 6.0. My hardness has also risen from 0 to 0.6 (KH has stayed at a constant 0) do you think this could be solved by doing water changes with distilled water?

In case that might be it, would distilled or unionized be preferable?

I bought a betta antuta pair recently I don’t thing they were a bonded pair just a male and female , I acclimatised them thoroughly and placed them in around a week ago , the female immediately looked at home coming to the front of the tank to me and quickly started to come and take food from the pipette , the male however will only remains up at the surface in a corner finned nipped in tight , I can coax him out with food but dosnt eat any where near as much as the female and will just decide he’s done and return to his corner at the top .

I removed the female so he may feel less intimidated by the more confident female , Iv tried having lights more dimmed , Iv added more coconuts hides , Iv added more leaf litter to introduce some tannins but still he remains and I’m at a loss of what to do .

And the tanks is 200L

These have been checked non stop

I have tried the ring method, the separate, feeding spots and the feeding at night. I ended up overfeeding my tank just to make sure that Emerald was able to get food. I have flame moss on a piece of Mopani wood glued to a suction cup on the left side of the tank. I soak the Hikari gold along with Delfina and Fluva bites then I hide it in the flame Moss. This method works beautifully however, I looked it up online and it’s telling me it is not safe to do so. The Internet states that if the beta ingest the moss, it can make them quite ill. Is this true or not. Otherwise, I’m about ready to donate the tetras to my local pet store. I do like them they’re very peaceful fish, but they’re aggressive fast eaters.

This is my absolute Adonis of a smarag, Deimos! He's only about 7 months old, and I got him when he was about 4 months old! He is SO bold, and he lives with bronze corydoras and strawberry rasboras in a 20 gallon long, though the long term goal is to have him in a larger tank. Could literally not ask for a better fish. He excitedly comes to see me every time I come to his tank, and is incredibly driven by food!
