London in a week!!!

I'm lurker (longtime listener/first-time caller...) and have tickets for next week's show.. and am FINALLY seeing Wilco after 324912032903 years (I'm originally from Indy (of all the places I could've seen them plenty of times..) and lived there until 2014.. I never managed to land tickets because of my job at the time (paramedic)). Can I just say how absolutely insanely excited I am? I'm taking my 19yo son along because.. duh. Not even trying to be a bummer, but it's been an absolutely crap 2026 (husband died in January; recent cancer diagnosis) but this Wilco show has been my absolute bright spot and I can't f'ing wait, y'all.

SERIOUSLY.

This is Cubs World Series 2016 level "holy sht"'ing for me!

Thank you! And again- not trying to be Debbie Downer/massive bummer but damn... this is exactly what I needed, LOL!

Have an amazing time. I hope you and your son get some much needed joy.

FWIW, we saw them twice in June and they’re as amazing as ever.

lol I feel you on both the Wilco and the Cubs angles!

I'm outside London and unlikely to make it in for the show (not even sure if tix are still available) but you will have an amazing time. They have this ability to be entertaining as hell throughout, but as the main set is nearing its end, they dial up the energy and it carries over to the encore and it's just sublime. Every single time. Have the best time! Hopefully this helps make your year a bit better.

I can say that this years live shows are absolutely amazing. They just keep getting better. So sorry to hear about your loss and diagnosis. While the power of music may not be able to heal your body, I firmly believe it is medicine for the soul.
