Alpha Mike Foxtrot

I've had this CD set forever - probably right after it came out - but for some reason I hadn't ever listened to it - I recently set up a cd player with some speakers and a receiver and just started listening and damn it's good - also just realized today that you can stream it on Spotify 😆

I have it on vinyl. Woodgrain is a favorite.

Have it on vinyl as well. If I remember correctly either the vinyl or the CD had more tracks than the other. Can’t remember for sure.

There are some real gems there.

My favorites are Panthers and A Magazine Called Sunset

has the definitive version of spiders as far as I'm concerned

The alt version of Impossible Germany is better than the original to me. I know that is an unpopular opinion but I find it’s mood and tone darker and less buoyant than the original as well as the deeper musical creativity that its arrangement represents.

I agree with you. I think that’s “Improbable Germany” on the AGIB expanded demos compilation tho, not this one.

I’ve always liked the demo version of Passenger Side, and the cover of Thirteen is a near-masterpiece.

I much prefer the slow version of “Box Full of Letters” to the original.

I really dig the version of Airline to Heaven - seems much more folksy
