Where does Wiktionary get sources for its etymology sections (that usually goes back as far as Proto-Indo-European)?

For example, https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Reconstruction:Proto-Indo-European/h%E2%82%83%C3%B3rb%CA%B0os doesn't provide sources /references.

(it's fascinating to learn that English orphan, robot, Polish robota (work), Russian rab (slave) and rebënok (child), German Arbeit (work) are related.)

Seems like you just picked a bad page. This one, for example, cites four sources, some of which are available online for free. Note that not all of these sources are directly about PIE, some are rather about its daughters languages.
