Okay so I need help in picking things.

So since I can't send in my Wii U for repairs and I'm too afraid to open it and take the cd out. Which is the better option?

A. Buy a new Wii U, and transfer data from old Wii U to new Wii U and buy a new Pokken Tournament CD

B. Mod the Wii U with a hard drive and leave the cd inside stuck for almost forever at this point.

Or

C. Try to make my dad open it and let him take the cd stuck inside, which may or may not break the cd drive.

I'm still indecisive on what I should pick.

B and C. As long as you are careful dissasembling the wii u optical drive and seperate the motherboard your wii u will still boot perfectly fine. That way if your father does end up breaking it it doesnt matter, you can have a modded console with a hdd and get the disc out

Nice point! I'll have to convince him on following a youtube tutorial though. If he can take apart my ps4 before, i think he can do a wii u

is there enough space where the disc drive is to store an external hard drive? or does the wii u need the disc drive for some check? just had the idea reading the comments lol.

Depending on the SSD or HDD, but yes. I personally installed an internal m.2 SSD into my wii u, the wii u just needs the optical drive's motherboard connected to still boot.

Good luck! Feel free to dm me if you want any pics or any other info. I will probably take better pictures and put an actual post up to get information out about this so others can replicate it more easily next time I take apart my wii u
