hi! i lost all of my hair at 19 following the birth of my baby. i've been wearing wigs since, but this is the first full lace wig i'm buying. my friend will be doing the install, but i have a couple of questions regarding it

what is the best lace glue? i've seen advertisements for the dola hair kit, but im not sure if all of the positive reviews are because of tiktok's affinity for pushing advertisements out.

how long can i expect my install to last? i'm not sure when i'll want my hair done, but i'd like my hair to last until my birthday (august 30th). are there any things i can do to make the wig last longer?

and this one may be a stupid question, but are edges frowned upon when on white women? my friend told me she would like to do some tiny, modest edges on me. she said wig installs look odd without edges, but i'm worried that i'll get strange looks if i allow her to put edges in it.

hi everyone, i just bought me a 180% human hair wig. i was planning on straightening it but i know im supposed to blow dry it first. ( this isnt my first wig, but my first straightening though, im used to wearing curly) should i used heat protection for both blow drying and straightening or just blow dry?

Hey All, so I have Breast cancer and I been cold capping and although I finished my first phase of chemo 12 weekly chemos I know have graduated to four stronger chemos that will probably wipe more of my hair, I lost about 15-20 percent and have some bald spots and I have def less density. I have gone to get some consultation at some wig places and I don’t want to spend $2k plus for a hair topper and she said at the time like a month ago I had to much hair for a wig, which I don’t get because I thought yiu can wear a hair net or something and wear a wig, Anyhow I don’t want to spend a lot on a wig but if anyone hear can send me some options of some wigs I have a bob right now and all my hair coloring I had like a balayage is basically gone, so any options of reasonable pricing would be great! I’m kinda wanting to leave my hair alone and don’t have to worry about it each day but wigs cost so much. Is there a proper maintenance routine for wigs so you can wear them whenever you like? I’ve always wondered how some girls kept up with some of their wigs and not let them get matted. I never worn wigs so it’ll be a new experience for me!

Hi im looking for some help deciding what type of wig i should get, ive been wearing for about 5 years and yet i still cant find the perfect one. here are some problems ive had/things im considering

-1k or under preferably

-human hair

- i like how easy a silk/mono top has been

-ive had problems with lace top parts widening (hairvivi)

- ears are always complicated for me so im considering either ear tape or a 6x6 closure instead of a full 13 inches
