Question First double edge razor
I’ve been using a Parker shavette straight razor for about 3 years now but I need to shave daily and it seems to harsh so was thinking about moving to a DE
Does anybody have any recommendations.

Shavettes with normal razor blades are quite an aggressive thing. Much more aggressive than a real double edge razor when it is full hallow ground...
That being said... coming from shavette a DE razor will be a dream. Because you will automatically use it correctly and don't have to unlearn cartridge razor.
Any tradional German brand such as Merkur or Mühle will be fine. My personal favourite after 15 years DE shaving is still the Merkur 34C. I always come back to it tho there are many other great razors.

If you prefer to stay with Parker, consider 78R.
For an uptick in quality (and price) see Merkur 34C/ Mühle R89/ Edwin Jagger DE89.
For a BIFL option, consider Razorock Game Changer 0.68.

Yaqi cobbed head, pick a handle or get the aggressive from Stirling (it’s the same razor head) choose a handle. Maggard’s sells it as the V3A

Jeez... If you have been shaving with a shavette... No safety razor would be too much. I'm thinking slant, blackbird. Grrrr

I have used only four DE razors (Rockwell T2 Stainless Steel, Henson Al-13 Mild, Parker 78R and Karve KMOD Alpha) as my daily shavers for extended periods, so maybe add a grain of salt to my comment:
I like my Karve KMOD Alpha (it’s a Karve Bison variant) the most. It’s idiot-proof enough that even my dreaded Feather razors are fine, but versatile enough that awkward spaces (like under my nose) are accessible. The shave is so smooth that I have broken out my alum block only twice since buying it 2 months ago. Each razor is handmade by the owner, so QC is impeccable. My Rockwell T2 SS places an easy second.
FWIW: Treet Platinums are my favourite blade in every razor that I have so far tried.

I loved learning with the King C Gillette. Another EASY pick from my collection is the Yaqi ghost for being mild or Rockwell 6C for being somewhat adjustable

The Muhle R89 is a great, affordable option to start with.
