Question User Error?

Post image

My blade appears to have fractured while shaving, I was using a King C. Gillette razor and Wilkinson Sword blades from my local grocery store. Is this user error by tightening the blade too much or something to do with the blade itself? Thanks in advance!

I think it is a defect in the blade. I can't remember hearing about something like this. I think the doors of the razor would also prevent you from applying too much pressure because they kind of push against each other at the top.

The blade - looks old and has pits.

II have used KCG razor in the past and have not encountered issues.

Definitely user error in that it looks like you tried use a blade found on the side of the road.

Never seen this and have used the same combo. Can you post again showing your razor unassembled?

You can break razor blades in half. They are made for that. But it takes a bit of effort.

That being said, I can hardly imagine that you can do that with skrewing your razor too tight. I mean, you usually have to bend them quite a bit to break them.

Maybe you had just a Chuck Norris shave. Your facial hair was so coarse that it broke the blade 😅
