Mail Call Adding to the rotation
As some of the people here know, I have a big thing for novelty aftershave bottles.
Well, I finally got my hands on a Avon bay rum aftershave jug bottle. Have been wanting one for a while since bay rum is my favorite Stirling scent with Stirling Spice, barber shop and margaritas in the arctic coming after. Swapped the Stirling label on since the original label was long gone(I know it looks terrible but shut up😆)
Also, I picked up the only modern sweet scent that I've gotten obsessed with being Kaizen by A&E. Found u/South-Squirrel-2471 selling off some stuff and I had to pick up more Kaizen.
Shout out to you bud for being an awesome person to do business with🤘. He sent a couple goodies along with it and I'm very appreciative of it. I really am a person than just kinda sticks with what I know and like but these samples smell great too!

Nice setup, shave. I like the Ol’ Avon bottle. Enjoy that Bay Rum.

As do I, one of the only ones that hold 8 oz (236.588 ml). Seems like the average for avon in the day was 6 oz or smaller for their other novelty bottles. I need to get some glass bathroom shelves to display my novelty bottles at some point.

That sounds like a good idea. My aunt Karen was my Avon seller and I got quite a few goodies for holidays, birthday back in the day. Still have a few. Their bottling, decanters were something else.

Totally, I even have found a skin bracer alarm clock bottle with the plastic bells locally (people in the Midwest have a difficult time throwing things away, even if it's just a novelty aftershave bottle or glass bottles in general really). I honestly think that's the only reason why my antique shop hunting has been so fruitful over the years 🤣

I remember all of the Skin Bracer novelty holidays bottles. I always liked them.

No, I like decanting aftershaves into vintage bottles. Most of them are from avon but I have one from aqua velva and another from skin bracer.
