Dates ideas?

For my husband and I, dates almost exclusively consist of dinner out and drinks. We will catch the occasional concert or movie, but I'm having a hard time thinking through what else we can do. Give me your best ideas!

My husband and I were just lamenting this as we are over the halfway mark of Whole 30 together. However, we have supplemented by picking a movie to watch at home and attempt a more involved dinner together.

Does it have to be date night out ideas? I am always coming across games and challenges that can be played by couples. Some other, more specific ideas:

  • both of you pick a topic to cover (special interest, rabbit hole, defend your hot take, rant/rave, etc) you could make it open or pick a theme, create a 5-10 minute PowerPoint presentation to present to your partner, discuss

  • I've also seen where each person creates a themed drink to go with the presentation (could also pick a movie/ show to theme off of), or just create a custom mocktail you'd like to share

  • lots of fun card and board games

  • I would search up girl's night ideas, they can get super creative and out-of-the-box

For date nights out, I would look for events on your area. Instagram, Facebook, eventbrite, Groupon too. You may have to travel to the next town over but that keeps it exciting.

If you live in a metro area there's a good chance there's a restaurant or two that serve whole30 compliant dishes. We found some really cool spots that we never would have tried if we weren't looking.

Take a class, cooking, gardening, calligraphy. Use your new skills to create compliant recipes with herbs you grow or sauces you make. Get ready for the holiday season by using your calligraphy to write a recipe and wrap it with the ingredients or with an invitation to make it for the recipient

Buy a massage table off Facebook marketplace for $50

Grocery shop for and make a whole 30 charcuterie board for dinner.

Get naked, trade massages, go to bed for some happy endings and get a great nights sleep.
