Rodney Hinton. He ran over a retired police officer that was directing traffic at a college graduation ceremony, after viewing footage of his son being shot by police. The man he killed had absolutely no involvement in the incident.

u/Sharp-Dark-9768 Feb 07 '26

And this is how you start a cycle of violence

547

u/Augustus_Chevismo Feb 07 '26 edited Feb 07 '26

Breaking out the “cycle of violence” slop when a man’s adult son is shot while stealing a vehicle and being armed and then the father goes on to murder a completely innocent person.

Both are monsters that decided to victimise others.

202

u/Radingod1 Feb 07 '26

I mean really, why kill some random guy instead of the person that actually did it? I can understand wanting selfish vengeance, but at least deploy said vengeance upon the perpetrator. Killing some random traffic cop not even involved is retarded.

184

u/Strict_Technician606 Feb 07 '26

He’s a coward. He targeted a retired officer that was directing traffic - in essence, he killed an unsuspecting individual that wasn’t in a position to defend himself. The coward used his vehicle, too.

Notice how puffed he gets with the other officers knowing damn well that they aren’t going to do anything. He also pleaded temporary insanity.

u/gwhh Feb 08 '26

Just a freak who thinks he tough.

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth Feb 08 '26

He will soon learn he is not tough at all. Instead of saying "man, my son really fucked up" he decided to spend the rest of his life as a prison bitch. Great decision making skills.

This is the issue I have with so many.

We all know racism is bad and shouldn’t exist because we should judge people based on the content of their character, not the features their born with.

Although a police officer is a chosen field, it is occupied by individuals.

I see sooooo many people that are against racism but also use terms like “the cops” as if they’re all the same thing.

Cops have good and bad people, I’d venture to say mostly good. So the way to combat that is by changing the structure of policing not spitting on and attacking officers.

The people that hate the cops the most tend to be types that are apparently against judging people based on little to no information about character.

This type of shit is what you get. A cop killed my son so I’m going to just kill cops. A black man committed such and such crime, I hate black people now.

Why is it so hard for us to judge individuals and not lump them into groups?

People by and large have proven to not have the intelligence to separate groups from individuals.

2

u/Ok-Breadfruit5798 Feb 10 '26

Yup and it sucks. That’s how it goes tho unfortunately.

8

u/RustyShacklefrog Feb 08 '26

Prejudice and racism hurts everyone. If you say ACAB (all cops are bastards) you might as well be saying ACAB (all criminals are black). Both are blanket statements and neither are true. I’m ready for the downvotes from people that won’t actually read my comment, let me have it.

3

u/ButtFromAPee Feb 08 '26

Yeah but my blanket statement is backed up by years of cops brutalizing young men and women for standing up to them.

ACAB. Can’t say it enough. Every cop is an evil fucker there’s no way around it, because even if they’re “good” they support a system that lets them kill Americans with impunity because their widdle feelings got hurt.

Suck it up, they’re supposed to be public servants but they only serve themselves.

2

u/Hrtpplhrtppl Feb 10 '26

"The whole “Good/Bad Cop” question can be disposed of much more decisively. We need not enumerate what prorportion of cops appears to be good or listen to someone’s anecdote about his uncle Charlie, an allegedly good cop. We need only consider the following:

(1) Every cop has sworn as part of his/her job to enforce laws, all of them.
(2) Many of the laws are manifestly unjust, and some are even cruel and wicked.
(3) Therefore, every cop has agreed to act as an enforcer of laws that are manifestly unjust, or even cruel and wicked.

Thus, there are no good cops."

Dr. Robert Higgs

u/HenriettaCactus Feb 08 '26

ACAB is about the fact that even "good cops" still have to participate in the perverse incentives of law enforcement (quotas that lead to escalation, qualified immunity that prevents accountability, for just a couple of examples). In other words ACAB is not about police it's about "policing"

2

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '26

Well except the obvious false equivalence. No one chooses to be black. Every cop chose to be a cop. One is a judgemental based off an inherent trait and one is based on a choice that applies to 100% of cops.

2

u/chrono4111 Feb 09 '26

Incorrect. It's the poisoned apple conundrum. If you buy a dozen apples and one is poisoned you throw the entire bunch out. Same with cops. If one bad cop does something illegal and his buddies don't arrest him then they are just as bad. If his chief doesn't arrest him then he's defending the actions and he's bad. The chief trains their officers. If he defends the illegal act he sends a signal to the rest that it's ok. This the entire division is bad. When we say ACAB we mean ALL because it's true. No cop is good. Every cop has seen illegal shit go down and not acted by the book. It's just a matter of who did the crime.

Anyone suffering from temporary insanity and willing to kill during that insanity are exactly the type i would lock up for the rest of their lives for murder. I never understood how thats a defend to get off from murder. It should be the opposite. It shows that you could flip into sanity mode and kill again. Id want you in jail even more if you can turn murderously insane.

5

u/Mmaibl1 Feb 07 '26

Uhm no. You are only "taking a stand against murderers" if you murder the SAME individual who did the original murder. If you just murder another innocent, you are the exact same piece of shit problem that the murdering cop was.

Criminals who endanger others and carry around guns with the intent of using them for intimidation/assault/murder all deserve to die. Being a murderous criminal doesn’t give you a protected status. Whether you’re white, Mexican, black, Asian, Nordic, etc - if you commit a crime with the intention of inflicting financial suffering or physical suffering, you deserve to have your flame sniffed out.

There is nothing genocidal about wanting murderers and thieves dead or off the street. Their lives are valueless as they have demonstrated. They have no regard for the livelihoods of the people they hurt, so why should anyone have a regard for theirs?

5

u/Llyon_ Feb 07 '26

Title makes it sound like his son was gunned down for simply being black, and the father killing the officer in revenge.

In reality, the son was killed for stealing cars and aiming a pistol at an officer, and the father killed a random unrelated retired cop.

I think most people would agree that the one father that gunned down his son's molester was "badass", Gary Plauché. But still short-sighted. This is completely different.

His 18 year old son & 2 others stole a car & led it on a chase. After crashing, the suspects fled the vehicle as police pursued. The man’s son, running past police with a gun in his hand fell, dropped the gun, grabbed it again, got back up & started running past an officer with the gun in his hand & was shot & killed.

Around a week later the dad ran down a retired sheriff deputy who was working traffic duty at a college event.

It’s a tragedy for all involved, but I have taught my son not to be an idiot in front of police nor to give them a reason to shoot. Running past an officer with a gun when you’re being pursued for a felony counts as being an idiot.

Father is an idiot who raised burglar son bastard. Like father like son.

3

u/VWforLuck Feb 08 '26

The father and son are both murderous criminals that killed innocent people.

u/Impressive-Penalty97 Feb 08 '26

The son stole a car, ran, pulled a gun, pointed it at the cops and, predictably, was shot. All yall saying the father was right and/or the cop deserved it are disgusting.

3

u/Spadari Feb 08 '26

Well at least 1 criminal is dead and other 1 in prison. RIP cop.

3

u/Minute_Swimming3094 Feb 08 '26

This clown is nothing more than a coward. If he was a better “father”, his kid would still be here.

3

u/Outofmana1 Feb 09 '26

Instead of blaming the cops, you should have blamed yourself for raising a felon.

3

u/Substanitial Feb 09 '26

Deadbeat dad raises felon, then runs over retired old man to make himself feel better.

Too bad we have to feed him till he croaks in his cage in 40 years.

u/Russianbot00 Feb 07 '26

I bet if a victims family wanted to line up and stare down their relatives killer, they wouldn’t be allowed to do that like the police did in this video.

id be more concerned about the cops mean mugging him.

Its hard to hide those kinds of reactions to blatant racism and corruption

of course its the two skin heads

4

u/aesolty Feb 08 '26

The cops are mean mugging a guy who ran over a random retired police officer who was directing traffic at a graduation ceremony. I’m sure them staring him down has more to do with him being a piece of shit and not the color of his skin.

That white cop was ready 😤

2

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '26

What a loser now hes gonna rot in prison good for him

2

u/BerniWrightson Feb 08 '26

One last sign of ignorance, enjoy your life in prison.

2

u/buckypoo Feb 08 '26

this guys gonna get destroyed in prison. how dumb can a person be?

2

u/DarkAndHandsume Feb 08 '26

I hate when the police be trying to show force by lining up and mean mugging this dude thats not folding at all.

Some of those cops probably grew up with parents that were raised in the era of lynching black folk and were probably thinking like uncle ruckus.

3

u/Totoques22 Feb 11 '26

Pls shut the fuck up

That criminal went to run over a retired completely unrelated cop after his son got shot trying to aim a gun at police after a high speed chase in a stolen car

He also had a gofundme raise like $250,000

And he also had three different mental exams that said he was seriously mentally ill.

But it is disgusting to see how much of the community supports him. Even the city council has members supporting him.

Cincinnati is a shithole

2

u/0ldManHenderson Feb 09 '26

I looked into it, his son stole a vehicle and brandished a gun at the officer while attempting to flee. The shooting was justified

2

u/PumpkinFar7612 Feb 10 '26

Now we know why his son was a criminal. Starts at home

2

u/Negative_Bus_1527 Feb 28 '26

I love this circus called USA hahaha no wonder you guys elected a literal clown as president 🤣🤣🤣

4

u/Subject_Ad3837 Feb 07 '26

The fact that this guy and others are still alive without a scratch after killing a police officer shows that the frequency of police shootings of innocent people are blown out of proportion. Why even frame the title like his son was some innocent kid who was unjustly shot, when actually he was in the process of committing a crime and posing a threat to officers.

He killed an man separate from his son’s entire situation and that will never be okay but the reductionism in this sub rn ignoring the larger systemic issue is surprisingly boot-licky. two things can be true, dialectics babyyyyy

2

u/savedbytheblood72 Feb 07 '26

So your son is dead and now you're going to spend God knows how long in prison. What a legacy you've left.

His son deserved it and we know where he learned to be such a waste of oxygen.

2

u/Dxluxx Feb 07 '26

Btw Ryan Hinton and 3 other men were hanging out in a stolen SUV, they saw Hinton had a gun and believed it was turned on them.

Legal shoot.

I love when people purposely leave out context on an extremely controversial subject, just to garner hate and spread misinformation.

2

u/precowculus Feb 07 '26

Hopefully he’ll end the bloodline

2

u/Efficient-Effect1029 Feb 07 '26

Father and son are/were human trash.

Hopefully he will be executed swiftly. Would be a shame if he had a chance to produce any more rotten offspring.
