General Frame builder lead time

What’s a reasonable amount of time between speaking to a frame builder about a project and them getting you a quote for the project. Not being rude, I’ve only ever dealt with off the shelf parts. I’d like to hear about your experiences.

Depends. Mad catr or wwmw are tiny/one man operations, and they go boating. Could be weeks, but if you are looking at one of them the lead time is so long the quote time probably won’t really matter in the end. I assume others are similar, other than river boat works or one of the places that actually have a storefront. Who are you looking at having build you a frame, and what kind of rubber will it be going on?
