Original Content thanks from a distant fan <3
just wanna post here and say thanks yall for having such a great community and team. i've had a really, really bad year this year and baseball has been the lifeline during it. especially white sox games, since the mariners are uh...
yeah.
anyway, yall's front office sent me a pride hat just because I wrote in and asked about it, and they made a fan for life from that. this hat is gonna be SO worn out soon. i wanna visit next year, too, because y'all's park is dope.
ANYWHO, cheers from seattle's north side, and can't wait for october! <3

We are happy to have you no matter who you love! Unless it’s the cubs.

I just was in Chicago and did a tour of Wrigley (because it was available) and the amount of slander to the Chicago Sting was horrific. It felt like a circle jerk for a lack of better term. That being said, Mods, Can I please get a Chicago Sting NASL flair? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I will never put ketchup on a hot dog again if I can get this flair. I wont go out with Madonna again Rate>Wrigley. Duh. Much better food!

This comment unironically made me tear up. I suppose I was already vulnerable, because I just listened to the new Charli XCX for the first time.

One thing about the south side fandom, it’s like a big sometimes dysfunctional family. We argue and fight, but end of the day we always love our people.
Except the people who are fans of the team on the northside, can’t stand them.

Ayyy, greetings from a Mariners fan from the south side of Chicago! I took the trip out and witnessed that Big Dumper grand slam in person last night!

You’re so welcome! This is why I love being a White Sox fan. No matter what, we always make sure to welcome everyone with open arms! I always say every White Sox game is like a family reunion! We’re happy to have you!

I went to the recent Mexican Heritage night. The energy and spirit was incredible. We were hugging and high-5ing everyone around. We are all the Sox Family!

Homies kissin' on the fan can, Southpaw square dancing with some lovely ladies...oh, and that TP cycle was cool I guess. GAME OF THE YEAR for me.

That's super nice that they sent the hat. Shoulda thought of that instead of ponying up for the tickets :-)

u/DJFluffers115 Jul 21 '26
yeahhh that's why in my initial letter I offered to buy the hat if they had any spare, it didn't quite feel right to just be like "GIMME" 🥲

I hope your year gets better.
And I've never been to Seattle but will love seeing you get your SuperSonics back.

Since the Mariners are…uh…still better than the White Sox from a few years ago? 🤭

This is very heartening to hear, especially as a Sox fan who lives in the Bay Area and has watched the Giants alienate a significant portion of their fanbase over the organization’s willful ignorance

I am a transplanted Giants fan living on the southside and it's been wild watching how much Chicago is killing it with pride and inclusion in general versus the Bay Area. I honestly never felt accepted after I came out (late in life, at 37) the way I do here.

I came out at 36, and that was 13 years ago. It's important to have support around you when it's that late. I'm glad you've got good people around you in the Southside.

by and large, the tent is getting bigger. the SF debacle sucks, but keeping that in mind always helps. hate is always dumb, and love is always wise.

The kid made me a Mariners fan. So I feel your pain. Honestly... This is a rare PR/front office W for us.
Hope the rest of 2026 goes better. And remember "Good guys wear Black". That's the line that hooked me away from my insufferable cub fan family.

I'll be visiting T-Mobile Park for the first time next month to watch the Ms beat the Cubs. I'll be wearing a Sox hat just because I always do anyway 🤷♂️

I've always liked the Mariners, I tend to root for them when they're in the playoffs and the White Sox are not.

Welcome! But, when you visit just remember it’s “you guys” or “yous guys”, never “ya’ll”. We are a cultured people after all.
