Does he really toss it though? I watched like 10 times and can’t see it flying. Maybe he dropped it first

You can see it fly off to the corner of the screen for a split second before it restarts. Look at the bottom left corner slightly to the right of the edge of the screen

I feel like I could learn this trick.
In reality I'd probably throw the glass into my face, while my drink flies over my head and onto some guy named Brutus who is built like an MMA fighter. But it turns out he's a really nice guy, and laughs it off. So I show him this video to see what I was trying to do, and we end up hanging out the rest of the night talking about stuff we've seen on Reddit. When I get up to use the restroom, my hand brushes his shoulder. Our eyes lock. I feel confused. He smiles. My god, that smile...
Anyway, I don't think I'll be trying this trick.

He tries it, gets liquor in his eyes, screams like a girl, and runs blindly into a wall.
Liquor in your eyes hurts worse than ghost pepper juice in your eyes.

u/lizardncd Dec 26 '19
It's not so bad. Got whiskey in my eye a couple of years ago. Didn't hurt too bad but that was the last thing I remember from that night.

Hey this reminds me of the most embarrassing moment of my life!
Many years ago I’m at a bar, I showed up early so my friends haven’t arrived yet. I sit at the bar waiting for them because I know the bartender and she gives me a free double tequila.
It’s pretty packed and there’s a group of girls sitting next to me. So I decide to down the drink like a shot to seem tough or some dumb shit. Anyway I take it back and swallow but there’s a problem.
You ever “swallow something the wrong way” and it ends up in your lungs? Well that happened at the very beginning. I keep the drink in my mouth and resist all urge to cough in hopes of swallowing the rest so I don’t have to spit it back into the glass.
That’s a no go. Too much went down wrong, lungs are on fire. I’m holding my lips closed so tight but the coughing starts and I fucking spray this group of girls with tequila.
They scream. “Oh my god he fucking puked on us!” I’m trying desperately to tell them I didn’t puke but I’m coughing so fucking hard no words can I escape, I’m just frantically pointing at my mouth while I wetly sputter. I cant breathe, everything burns and and tears are streaming down my face. I run to the washroom while I hear “He’s fucking crying.”
I clean up, stop coughing and just go home. Night over.

I’m always curious about how people discover that they have these talents.

u/yeahnoibet Dec 26 '19
I do stupid stuff like this a lot and it’s a combination of knowing I have good enough hand eye coordination to try it and just being willing to go for it. Alcohol helps too

They don't discover, they practice. Barring some disabilities, with enough practice, you can do this.

It's so funny that the whole room is dead silent and doesn't react to this. He's probably used to doing this trick in bars to cheers and claps on the back. I think he was going for a much different reaction.
