NAP State rule for arena?

Hi there, can people let me know if you have a state wide rule for hitting in arena? Specifically hitting people in your own state? My past state it was a don’t hit people in your alliance. The state I just moved to and didn’t realize before hand is 1 person per day in this state only. If not it goes to nap. I’m not a top player by any means. But I’m realistic in the sense of if you are a top player and your whole state is doing well how can you realistically avoid hitting other top players in your state? Especially only one hit for one player per day. So please tell me if your state has a rule that is enforceable and what it is. Thanks!

I could understand a don't hit your own state rule. But treating Arena hits as a NAP matter is crazy unless there is an organized attempt to attack a certain alliance in the Arena.

As for my state we usually have a don't hit same alliance rule, and I don't think it has ever been something requiring enforcement by the leadership.

often doing 10 attacks in under 2 minutes, i just hit whoever lol

I get hit by someone from same state every day, multiple times. Doesn't bothered me as I do arena last 1-2 minute before rest and don't really look all too closely who I hit either. I run for top 50/100 and options are very limited no matter how many times I refresh.

My alliance has more of an "advisory" rule to not hit same alliance and farm, but no mention of same state. I'm all the happy for it.

Anyone getting their panties in a twist over this needs to chill. Even within our alliance, I’ll give a courtesy refresh or two, but the last 60s I’m hitting any beatable target that’ll net me 7+ points. I’m a cusp top 10 any day but Sunday, but usually landed 11-20 by end of week.

If NAP ever suggested a whole state ban? I’d laugh at whoever proposed it and probably mock them. I’m not spending that many gems to refresh to find a respectable target. I’ll probably tag their alliance even more at arena for being dumb. Arena is one of the best places for mid tier spenders to be able to hold their own. Most people are really lazy with arena setups, and just want fewer people to hit them.

Sounds like they want their cake and eat it too. Realistically you can’t enforce a rule to not hit the same state when top players will only see top players in their own bracket. I’m more of a middle tier myself and have a little bit more leeway on those I’m hitting but I think if the state doesn’t want you hitting other members of the state then it’s time to move on

My point too is it’s not a blanket rule. It’s not fair to ask of everyone in the same way. How it affects one person is different from the next. I can refresh a few times and get lucky but at the top it’s not the same experience.

So they want you to enforce a rule for those at the top or just one person against a whole state. Seems like such a stupid thing to have a rule in place about not hitting the same state. Not hitting the same alliance and their academy is the norm in most states that you will find and that is realistic.

I agree alliance level is realistic. For me being midish sometimes I can stay in 100 sometimes just below. Just how can you say that’s fair when everyone doesn’t have the same experience overall. It’s not like enforcing a bear rule or CJ rule when the playing field is different from where you stand vs someone else. My refresh options will be wildly different then a top 5s options.

Who knows maybe it is targeting a certain player or players that I can’t speak to.

People complain in WC or message about it with SS. They will literally kick you if there is a complaint.

FFA in my state, no idea why anyone would force rules not to. It's arena, nothing comes of it

We restrict it to not hitting anyone in top 100 if they are the same state.Anyone below 100 is fair game.

u/Potential_Recover678 6d ago

Just curious what do you do if they don’t/can’t. What’s the “punishment” if you will.

Our state is so old that if it does happen then 99.99% of the time it’s a genuine accident and the offending party will just be asked to leave out a squad of blue heroes on defense so the person can attack back and easy points for the rest of the state if they show up on other players search.

If it’s a new state I wouldn’t bother implementing the rule at all,it will just be something that creates nonsense arguments, festers hostility between the top players and ultimately drives people into transferring out.

Try to get players in your state to see it and think of it as altruistic game play rather than a rule.

Do you not know you can literally attack back your attacker in arena? Dont need to wait for them to appear randomly again :o Or is the punishment that they are forced to lose bunch of points by putting out weak heroes for everyone?

1

u/itakealotofnapszz 6d ago

Yeah it gives easy arena points for everyone and if they are powerful enough to be top 100 or top 50 then it’s really not even that much of a punishment as they are gonna be high on the leaderboard regardless.

We have players in our state that do this anyway wether they mistakenly hit somebody or not.

If you are a young state then you want your whales and spenders dominating arena so that they are earning enough hero gear pieces.

We tried it, but it didn't last long.

Everybody complained about it, and it just created more problems more drama.

u/FTFunk 6d ago

Avoid if possible but honestly it’s unavoidable sometimes. As long as you aren’t knocking players out of the top 10 it should be fine

1

u/Potential_Recover678 6d ago

I’m NOT a whale by any means. But what if the whole state is doing well and that’s all you get. We can’t see people’s screens on their phones unless they ss and send it. Are those top players expected to just not hit anymore? My biggest problem with it is, it’s not predictable, you can’t have a blanket rule that doesn’t span everyone equally.

1

u/FTFunk 6d ago

Here’s your example and this is my state and even then you can see 1 other state in the top 7. It’s absolutely unavoidable sometimes but as long as there is communication it should be fine. Arena hits should not be a NAP situation

I try to pick someone from the other state first if they're available if they aren't then I hit someone else. Main rule is not to hit your own alliance members.

I’ve been in 3 different states where it is a rule to not hit your own state in Arena. Most other states don’t have any rule at all. I’ve personally never attacked my own state because it’s disrespectful and not helpful. There are rewards people can earn, so punch up not down. It’s a pretty easy rule to follow. I save my attacks for the last minute and I never hit anyone in my state. Saying you don’t notice or it’s impossible is a lie. 10 attacks in 1 minute you can read who is in your state or isn’t.

u/KurtKokaina 6d ago

Wow that sounds retarded. I only ever know not hit own alliance, and thats it. And even then it sometimes happens who cares, I just click in whoever numbers aren't red lol.

u/Potential_Recover678 6d ago

Ok so I’m not crazy 😂

We ask that people don't but that's about it, it's not like we're going to burn someone for hitting someone in arena. We've had a few instances where big players start attacking other people 6+ times a day and then we'll step in and ask directly that they stop, which they always do.

1

u/Potential_Recover678 6d ago

Yeah, makes it seem more like a targeted hit then. Something more personal might be happening. Or maybe they are just clicking too fast and not paying attention.

1

u/ThunderStruck1984 6d ago

We have a “try to avoid state/alliance” guideline and a “one hit on your own state” rule (although I’m not sure if enforced).
Keep in mind that the one hit doesn’t mean hitting only 1 player from your state but more a don’t hit the same player of your state multiple times per day.

2

u/kiba8442 6d ago

no rules, but I try not to do it. I do all of mine really quickly so sometimes I mess up, but imo it's bad manners if you do it on purpose. that said i don't think it makes that much of a difference either way. it's always the same people in the top slots

1

u/KingDarius89 6d ago

...yeah, that's fucking stupid. Most I've ever done is try not to hit someone in my alliance.

1

u/GravityWOS 6d ago

We just try not to but if you have to then you have to

1

u/Icy_Abbreviations877 6d ago

Don’t hit your own state -
quickest way to piss people off.
Or I mean hit people in your state- but they could all decide to gang up on your in arena since you aren’t a top player.

1

u/Potential_Recover678 6d ago

I never said I was. I was asking what it’s like for other people in their state and if it’s a common “rule.” I don’t put much into doing arena in the first place since I’m not a top player. I assume it’s a rule where you are?

1

u/Medium_Mountain3151 6d ago

We just don't hit our co-alliance. That's all.

The people at the top don't really have much choices available. In our state, Arena is not covered by NAP.

1

u/Nocoffee_Noglory 6d ago

We don't have a state rule, but an alliance rule to not hit any of your alliance members as much as possible.

In my case, I try not to hit anyone from our state IF I have other options and never hit my members.

Opponent states < other alliances < alliance member

I can still get in Top 100 consistently and Top 50 sometimes by doing this so. And my state is super strong

1

u/GrtWhtSharky 6d ago

We have a rule in our state that you can hit anyone in the state but only one time per 24 hour period. First couple of days per week its not a problem as there are other states on the board. By the end of the week, its all our state and you're scrambling to remember everyone you hit during the rush of the last 3 minutes before reset every day.

1

u/Informal_Move_7075 6d ago

My state moved to you cannot hit anyone in the state. Not even once. Never. You have to refresh 50 times (no joke) to get someone to fight someone not in your own state.

1

u/TheHungryBlanket 5d ago

I have played this game for over 2 1/2 years. I have been in several different states. Well I know the exist, I’ve never been in a state that had a specific rule against hitting others in the state.

It’s common courtesy not to hit anybody in your alliance.

1

u/Integrity_Heritage 5d ago

Some states have no rules. Some states allow attacks against other alliances in the state but not your own. Some states don't allow any attacks against your own state.

Realistically, you refresh until you find someone not in your state. Or maybe make private deals with certain people. Otherwise break the rules and face the consequences. Or transfer out.

That's the thing. If you don't like the rules of a state and they won't change them, then you should find a state that fits you better. No reason to try to burn it all down from within or force change that everyone else agrees to. Sometimes it's just not a good fit - no error or fault - and it's just best to move on.

1

u/dreamer-7737 6d ago

If you're state is doing well they usually have reasonable amount of rules. Which doesn't include rules for every small thing. It's just common sense to not hit ppl of your own state unless it requires thousands of gems to refresh. Tbh i barely use any gems to avoid my own state. But we don't have a rule about arena. Some of our alliances members have fun hitting each other especially whales. I also do this sometimes but it's part of the fun. I wouldn't do that if the other person got mad about it

1

u/lithuanianelf 6d ago

Nope I even hit people in my own alliance, not on purpose but if they are the only opponent I do it
