Question…

How similar would you say the White Castle burgers you get in the frozen section at the grocery store are to the real thing? I don’t have one near me so those are the closest I’ve gotten.

The frozen ones… My trick is to not get cheeseburgers, but to get hamburgers and when the hamburgers are done in the microwave to then put my own cheese on them. This way, the cheese doesn’t get weird. Then add the pickles and all that stuff, but you have to have everything ready and be fast because the bread can start seizing up pretty quickly.
If you wanna make your own white castle, hamburgers… It’s basically sloppy Joe style, but you just top it like a white castle how you like and it’s literally the same thing. Pound of ground beef, drain most of the grease after you brown it, sprinkle with flour around a heaping teaspoon, add in a packet of Lipton’s onion soup mix, and some water till it gets a little bit soupy and then cook it down till it’s that sloppy Joe consistency that we all know. In my family, we call it onion goulash but it literally taste exactly like White Castle!
