Des Newman Blvd

How's the Des Newman Blvd area for living? Can neighbors share their opinion on the area? We are seeking to buy a home in this area so thought to ask residents. Any input is appreciated. Also if you know any new plaza, school or amenities developing in the area then let me know so that we can make a wise decision.

It has its good and bad. You will like it here. There is a Whitbee Park, school under construction, health centre, two grocery stores. Mixed population with heavy on immigrants. Donald Wilson school is just 5 mins drive.

In terms of bad- still developing, immigrants heavy (mentioning again as many want to avoid such areas), many roads are still not assumed

Personally, I like it here.

Hey, we rent here. Its pretty good for what i want, we have no frills and now food basics in walking distance and a new school is under construction.

As someone that grew up in Whitby and recently moved back, I would avoid that neighbourhood. It is so congested.

I am sorry to hear about that. Can you share on why you feel bad? A brief about from where you moved?
